મિત્રો બાળપણમાં તમે પણ સાયકલ ચલાવી હશે,
વધુમાં વધુ કેટલા કિલોમીટર ???
હવે તમને કહું કે આજે હું મળ્યો “આરતી ચાપાણી” ને કે જેઓ એક હાઉસવાઈફ છે, અને છેલ્લા 6 વર્ષથી સાયકલિંગ કરી રહ્યા છે,
અને જે ભારતના પહેલા મહિલા સાયકલિસ્ટ છે કે જેમણે 1200 km વાળી રેસમાં બે વખત પાર્ટીસિપેટ કર્યું છે
જેમણે 50થી વધારે ઇવેન્ટ્સમાં ભાગ લીધેલો છે જેવી કે 200 km 300 km 600 km 1000 km ને તમે વિશ્વાસથી 1200 km ની રેસમાં પણ એ જોડાયેલા છે, જેને બિયાર એમ કહેવાતી હોય છે 1200 km વાળી રેસમાં તો બે વખત પાર્ટીસીપ્ટ કરેલા છે અને એસઆર સીરીઝ રેસમાં 7 વખત,
She participated in Paris-Brest-Paris 1225Km cycling event in France and completed in 98 hours against the time limit of 90 hours.
In this event about 7000 cyclist participates from all over the world.
She is the podium finisher in her category of Great Gurushikhar Challenge racing event of 175 Km from Mahesana to Mount Abu
She is the podium finisher in her category of Deccan Cliffhanger racing event of 645 Km from Pune to Goa via Mahableshwar. In this event there are three major climbs, Katraj Ghat, Khambhatki Ghat and Mahableshwar Ghat.
Apart from this she is a very good runner and have completed several Half marathons.
Also regular rides of 50Km twice in a week and on every Sunday long ride of 100Km – 150Km
