In this episode, we meet Nathan Clement, a Para cyclist from Canada, whose journey through Para sports has been nothing short of inspiring. After experiencing a stroke at the age of two and a half, Nathan began participating in Para sports as part of his rehabilitation, finding a passion for movement through cycling and swimming. Growing up, he joined the Canadian Para 7-a-side soccer team’s development squad before eventually shifting his focus to swimming, marking the start of his Paralympic journey.
Nathan shares the memorable experience of competing at the Rio 2016 Paralympics, where he felt free of pressure and embraced the thrill of the competition. Now focused on cycling, Nathan enjoys the dynamic challenges of racing on a tricycle, especially in the picturesque city of Vancouver, Canada.
With his sights set on the Paris 2024 Paralympics, Nathan aims to push his limits and reach the podium in the time trial event. Through Para sports, he has traveled the world and experienced a life filled with growth, friendship, and opportunity, embracing the celebration of life and disability that Para sports create.
