Starting at 6pm – heading to Winchester Hill National Nature Reserve to see the sunset (8:52pm). Enough time to get there?

It’s about 25k to Winchester Hill on the route I have made – so I have a little more light of day than the dark of night (definitely want to see the beautiful views rather than pitch black).

We do more than half of the run first before the sunsets – Petersfield start, straight into QECP, into Clanfield and Hambledon. Then straight up to Winchester Hill and back into Petersfield via South Downs Way and Butser Hill.

We have fuelled up, have home made brownies with us and plenty of hydration. Evenings are hot this week so that sun will still be burning πŸ₯΅ πŸ”₯ – but we are very prepared for this little adventure.

I’m testing out some power hiking – seeing how strong and fast I can travel without running – I will add this in to save energy when the hills get big/long.

Slow endurance building for this run – going off heart rate and feel! So keeping pace nice and low.

Was a great little session – missed the sunset, more roads then I wanted and also more dark of night then I wanted πŸ˜‚. Still a great evening session!
