Thanks Tim. Most enjoyable.
HeyTim, how do you keep you phone and camera charged up?
I'll be following your vlog as you end this leg of your journey and be eagerly awaiting your return to France from Morocco.
Keep on Triking!
Aha! So Mr. Cooke shows us the joy of setting up a drive-by shot! Looks good after editing, but is a PITA to pull off in reality.
Well my friend, your destination for Episode 33 contained the word "Morte." We don't want this wonderful tour you've done to have anything to do with that in reference to yourself, so suspending the expedition for now is indeed the sensible thing to do.
If heat and the health of su corazon ("your heart") don't mix, the latter takes priority. Safety for the remaining days on the road my friend!
😉
Hey Tim, nobody wants to see a man walking around a posh hotel with an empty water bottle and a camera anyway.
I much prefer the view from along the canal with all the trees. LoL Thanks for sharing and I will keep an eye out for the continuation of this tour.
Good idea to take a break from the hot sun Tim. Health first.
Inspiration is correct. Bad weather, floods, major breakdowns then heat, you didn't let it dampen your enthusiasm . It's been a great watch. Thanks Tim. As always stay safe.
Really have enjoyed watching your videos. I have begun to video my trike trips with my wife and grandkids. I may have missed this Q/A in a previous comment, what drone are you using?
Hi Tim, it was and dtill is a great pleasure to follow on your trip. I will miss the evenings in front of my tv enjoying the latest episode before going to bed and dreaming of making such a trip myself. Enjoy the last 2 days, I hope with acceptable temperaturs, and stay safe. I am sure Trinny needs some repair before you and I hope you keep us informed about the "overhauling" of Trinny. All the Best for both of you, see us soon again, I hope. Greetings from Wesel Germany
I am not currently touring, but you did inspire me. 4+ years ago I was dealing with crippling neuropathy and found it difficult to ride a diamond frame bike. I began to research recumbent bikes. I always figured I would ride a two-wheeler. Then I came across Tim's Trike Trips. The idea of seeing the world from a comfortable chair appealed to me. I picked up my Catrike Dumont the week that covid hit the states. I don't ride nearly as much as I would like but I enjoy it when I do. As I commented yesterday, we have a bunch of beautiful rail trails here. Thanks for the videos. I look forward to your return in the fall. Oh, and what happened to the original intro?
Hi Tim. I have enjoyed. Looking forward to future tours. Tim, have you considered how your travels would have faird had you done this with your e assist. Would it have been possible.
Hey Tim sorry the heat got you. I very much do not like the heat myself. Hope you come back soon. And this ride had to be a real blazer with no shade. Hang in there. I really enjoy your videos. You do great videos and it's appreciated.
Hey Tim. I'm sad that the heat got to you but you've made it farther than I would have. I don't do heat well at all. I've thoroughly enjoyed your tour to this point. It's smart to take some time off and resume when it is cooler.
Safety first, heat exhaustion can be serious. 🙂 I'm curious, what kind of drone do you have? And for the ride-by camera trick, would the 360 camera make it easier?
I could detect a tiny bit of jubilation (relief perhaps) in your voice when you announced you'd be suspending your tour in a couple (I concur). It's becoming work, not fun. You should not have to suffer! You've learned a lot, need rest/recuperation, and time to reflect. I know one thing, your British sense of humor is intact. 😅
Yesterday looked like a nice day to ride, so I launched (80F). I did 26 miles, then got distracted talking to someone with some common ancient history. Oops, last ten miles, full sun, temp climbing…105F when I pedaled into the carport 🥵 Not wise, but at least I was in my all white kit that I wear here. I should know better.
I'll write you an email later with some afterthoughts. I have truly enjoyed riding along with you and looking forward to your further adventures (Said he whose ancestry is mostly English 😉)
Hi Tim! You could use your 360 camera for a ride by shot so you don't have to do that shot twice. Another trick I sometimes do is to cycle back from the camera and return. The first shot will be the last in my footage but I will mirror this clip. 😊 If you know what I mean. At the end of the month/beginning september we will make another trip. Austria/Slovenia/Italy, keep watching my channel 🙂.
It's been great to follow you on your tour so far, really enjoyable, but your health takes priority. Will you get much cycling in Morocco now that you'll have Trinny there? I am that used to hearing the cicadas, I didn't notice they'd stopped, until the two cars passed you.
Thank you Tim for the nice video be safe Wade in Florida
Hi Tim.
Thank you so much for your inspiration, your british sense of humor and your positivity.
Sad to hear you interrupt the tour. I enjoyed watching your vlogs so much. BUT you are 100% right. If you don't enjoy it anymore (because your health / heat) you should stop. I hope (and I'm almost certain) you will be back some time later.
About the pass by shot. I wonder can it be done with the drone putting it in such a spot? You could let it come to you by itself after taking the shot. But I don't know anything about operating drones.
I would like riding the trike like you one day (maybe starting with a 2 day trip as you say), but video is not realy my thing.
I guess the name of the place is pronounced Aigues-Mortes 😉. (Just joking, it doesn't make any sense in writing)
See you in the next (last 😢) one.
If only it wasn’t so hot. We’ll miss the tour, but at least there is the restart of the tour to look forward when the weather is better for triking. Will have to go back to the start and watch again in the meantime. Thanks for the entertainment.
