*UPDATE* – Alfred's 60 meter split was estimated to be 6.89 Seconds. One of only 5 races in history with a sub 6.90 60 meter split. What a legend.
Julien Alfred had it won in first 10 metres, Sha'Carri seemed to dip back at the start but race was over by time she got going. What incredible athletes these women are, and the swimmers !!! This is one of the best olympics.

Waited 4 years for Richardson vs the Jamaicans! Drag Queens every where for opening ceremony. Us womens bball have lowest attendance. Playing wrong national anthem for athletes. Men born with 🍆 beating women in boxing. This is by far the worst Olympics I've ever watched !!!

i wanted to see the race – instead we had 6 minutes of your opinions – then at the end the race – and it was editted to pieces. why couldn't you show the start , race and finish? comment over the top if you want – but you selected bits and pieces – you wasted my time, You showed the starting 3 secs then stopped the video and announced that Alfred was uncatchable. Then showed the end. Thanks for ruining it. I wish YouTube had an IGNORE button

I just checked, and the USA has 61 medals, while Jamaica has 2 and St. Lucia has 1! As you can see, we are doing well throughout the entire Olympics. The USA has shown that coming in 2nd and 3rd place is great and we are on another podium.
There’s something special about Sha’carri Richardson… this isn’t her last Olympics and certainly not her last race. I mean, win or lose, people still obsessed over her.
That fact that many people are pitifully trying to downplay a silver Olympic medal just to bring Sha’carri down speaks volumes. Congrats to Julien on gold though.
Sha’carri Richardson just has this presence and aura to her that seems so obscure, but yet you can tell there’s something special to her.
