Our decision to travel to Serbia was initially informed by just two things: our affection for its esoteric Eurovision entries in recent years (🌍🎤), and the knowledge that it sits outside of the Schengen Area, thus helping us to elongate our time in Europe.
Despite this somewhat tenuous reasoning, we are SO glad we added Serbia’s historic capital, Belgrade – Beograd to the locals – to our itinerary. We had a total blast, deepening our knowledge of the country in the process.
In this video, we explore Belgrade’s pretty old town and fortress, rent bikes, swim in Sava Lake and cook up some delicious Serbian-style goulash! Hope you enjoy it!
