Four adults and two children have died in a crash between a car and a motorcycle in Yorkshire. The crash between a Ford Focus and the motorbike happened on the A61 between Staincross, Barnsley, and Newmillerdam, Wakefield.

The initial scorch marks from the fire appears to indicate that the initial impact was right in the middle of the road between the two lanes, possibly indicating that the car was overtaking. But we don't know for sure what happened. Severe impact damage to the car which could well have killed them all on impact

Who was on the bike
This is simply a tragic accident, I ride a 1000cc superbike, but I would never overtake on a blind bend, just as I would never pull out of a blind junction on four wheels. Mistakes happen, and I would put my life on the fact that no-one involved would ever have wished this upon anyone. The one and only possible saving grace to this tragedy is that it is publicised enough to raise awareness to make everyone on the road truly appreciate how much damage can be done. RIP to the biker, the pillion, and the poor family of four. I hope to god that the surviving little girl has the support she needs to pull through this. All gone way too soon <3
Any other race and the title would mention dangerous driving. Please don’t like white skin refrain from pushing a message that speeding, dangerous driving and not wearing seatbelts kill!
So more dickhead bikers kill people by speeding and overtaking on a single carriage way. Time for bikes to be banned or restricted to 30mphs. We dont give a damn above the murdering bikers, may they rot and lie stinking in the earth. Absolute scumbags

across a lot of reports when there's been no statement of what happened there seems to be a lot of bias towards the car driver no one's mentioning the loss of the riders family …..how odd

no matter what the speed, for this to happen one of them must have been over the white line, as none of us were there you cant blame the biker!
I see many car drives crossing white lines every day.
I'm an 80 year old motorcyclist. I was surprised to learn recently the number of aging motorcyclist who had just passed the test and bought a super sports bike ! Looks to me the car moved to the center of the road ( tyre ? ) was then struck by the bike. Speed kills.
