Tottenham Hotspur fans wanted their team to lose against Man City. This may seem unusual but it’s because if they had beat Man City, the Premier League title would be in Arsenal’s hands and they would more than likely go on to win the league. Tottenham and Arsenal are big rivals. Their fans hate each other. So during the game one fan kept shouting at Ange Postecoglou to stop trying and to let City win. Ange didn’t take this well and by the end of the game had enough. What do you make of what happened? Comment below.

    1. I love the jokes obviously, but in all seriousness, the Spurs fans who actually wanted their club to lose are just idiots. Ange's reaction is fully justified. You can make these jokes all you want, but if you actually want your club to lose on purpose against the title challengers to stop your local rivals from winning the league is truly disgraceful. Imma Chelsea fan and let's say we play City instead. Arsenal are still in my eyes at least our biggest rivals, but idc. I woulf rather win against City, because I only care about what benefits our club. Not to mention I do prefer Arsenal over City to have won the league, because City have been winning multiple titles in a row for far too long now. That doesn't have anything to do with the situation, but basically, we're the to win and not play around.

    2. Ange is a winner! U don’t need negative cunts in the home end like that. If he wanted spurs to lose he should’ve stayed at home and let a real fan have his ticket. Defo see Ange chucking it

    3. I’m not sure about arguing with the fan. But in terms of attitude towards winning I am with Ange. Teams should play to win. I think it’s L mentality to be more worried about your rival than your own success.

    4. Typical English clubs , wanting there te to lower so that another team doesn’t win . Maybe they should put that same attitude into wanting there team to win and Ange doesn’t go in to any game considering losing that’s for sure.
I really often wonder what Daniel levy is up to, he doesn’t seem to want to make that next love and get his club over the line

    5. spurs winning nothing since 2009 and that was a pony cup , no league since 1961 let that sink in , like their stadium spurs always crumble

    6. If you want your team to lose, you have never played for something meaningful yourself and haven’t gotten any clue of what a fighter spirit is!

    7. Tbh I would want Liverpool to lose if it meant Man Utd wouldn’t win the league. As far as Ange, I can completely understand why he would be upset by this.

    8. I like howEveryone's talking about how these fans are apparently "disgraceful, toxic, rude" but as a football fan talking from five years of experience (which seems kinda insignificant I know trust me) a loss and zero cl spot would really be a much better fate than your rivals winning a title and would much rather lose if it meant that your rivals lost as well and if ange really thinks that way than listen. I know you want your team to try their best but you can't really control what the fans think or (if you dare) try to change it or have a go at them AM I RIGHT LADS OR AM I RIGHT LADS

    9. A fat manager been here two minutes needs ro respect the fans who own the club by paying the wages and running costs. The manager is a mere guest. And a failed one.

    10. That’s what happens when you leave a REAL big team who would never accept that to a jumped up English tourist league outfit. Spurs are a nothing club that will win fuck all forever in arsenals shadow

    11. I’m an arsenal fan, but I understand the rivalries between hotspur and the arsenal, but the head coach is doing his job to get the team together, and try to achieve success with the club

    12. Basically, by this point the hopes of Champions League qualification were out of the window. However, Arsenal still had a big chance to win the league. That is why so many fellow fans wanted us to lose. We do not hate our club, we just had nothing to play for.
