Is it just using GPS? Not very accurate without a dedicated meter on your front wheel.

    2. going downhill it’s *easy* to hit 50mph, looking at those stats showing 0 feet of descent it’s either not recording vertical change or the fastest speed is an anomaly

    3. GPS speed glitches are very common like most rides I record have bogus max speed stats.

My top speed was 61kmh, going downhill on a long steep slope. Almost shat my bibs.

It can, but you’d probably have realized you’re really zooming along if it was true.

GPS systems calculate your speed by calculating, literally once per second, your current position on the globe. It doesn’t take huge amounts of interference to make it seem like you moved dramatically much at one point, making for these kinds of glitches.
