    According to the United States Geological Survey or USGS report, global nickel production reached 3.3 million metric tons in 2022, with Indonesia being the world’s largest nickel producer in 2022. Its total production is estimated to reach 1.6 million metric tons, contributing 48.48% to the total global nickel production throughout last year.

    But Indonesia, recently dropped a bombshell by putting the brakes on exporting raw nickel ore. Now, you might be scratching your head, wondering, “What’s the big deal?” Well, here’s the lowdown: Nickel is like the MVP of many industries, from stainless steel to electric vehicles. It’s the stuff that keeps the gears turning.

    While Europe’s booming automotive industry, charging full speed ahead into the electric vehicle revolution. And Nickel is the crucial ingredient in those sleek EV batteries that we all love to rave about. Without a steady supply, production could grind to a screeching halt, leaving carmakers in the lurch and consumers feeling the pinch. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg, folks. The ripple effects of this nickel ban could send shockwaves across multiple sectors, spelling trouble for Europe’s economic stability.

      Well China 🇨🇳 had signed agreements contracts buying Nickle for the Chinese EV vehiclez in the next 10 yearz that'z why Indonesia 🇮🇩 wanting to join the BRICS+ China are the biggest Nickel purchaser of the world and secondly Indonesia can also trade with Chinese Yuan instead of US Dollarz which iz a bonus for the Indonesian government win, win situation for both countries!!!😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅

      China built many smelters in indonesia while western countries even japan refuse to do so but still there many indonesians are anti china ……

      Stop export to Europe, if oil goes up, nickel goes up!
      Fair trade! and make the cost of trade for nickel, worth your while, for example! Electric Vehicles are the Future! And they cost alot of money!
      And now as we speak! Nickel prices should go up!
      Why!
      Europe can't go without Nickel and Coal! Raise your prices for the cost of processing, the cost for workers,
      Cost of heavy machinery and gas,
      And the cost of loading and delivery
      and shipping.
      And there are plenty of other countries who will pay top dollar for your trade of Nickel and Coal!

      I think Indonesian doesn't want to destroy any countries economy, We Indonesian just want a fair shares, a fair treatment. Not hypocrisy, doing by the EU or other big powers countries. I think, the title should be "how the ban on Indonesian raw nickel exports can counter economic colonization by the European Union against developing countries."😊😁😆 what do you think guys?

      Indonesia never read the charter of the International Monetary Fund. It states that its purpose is " to continue the process of colonialism after the colonies are guven political independence.

      I have to push back on 1 detail, the part about "Protectionism" working, Indonesia was ALREADY an auto-manufacturing hub before the ban went into effect, it would be like Mexico Slapping 100% tariffs on Auto's and saying that was working eve though a strong plurality of N. American Auto's are assembled in Mexico anyway, details matter my guys and gals 🙂

      When Indonesia opened the bidding for a new nickel factory. The west pressured Indonesia to drop Chinese bidders, smearing the Chinese companies of the usual western propaganda, so in order to appease the west Indonesia gave the award to the french despite the chinese bidders giving better terms and offers etc. But the French then declined saying France already has their own factories and just wants to buy raw nickels and that they have the right to buy raw nickels. So Indonesia then awarded it back to a Chinese company. Now the EU is accusing Indonesia of destroying their natural habitat by building this new factories lol.

      Agree what Pak Jokowi said, Nikel nikel kita,, suka suka kita mau ekport atau tidak,, yes EU unjust in seeing this matter,, they want still to colonize indonesia again and again, in moderm form,, EU present theirself as if they are more clever more civilized, but hide their own hypocrite..
