Fedex was supposed to be here yesterday, but came a day late, so today was NBD. Upgrade from my 2018 Aeroad CF SLX with rim brakes.

Just a note – anyone planning to set these wheels up tubeless – Canyon/DT Swiss DO NOT send tubeless valves. So get them before hand and don't be like me rushing to get to bike shops in the time you budgeted for assembly. 😂😂

Immediately removed the saddle…130mm is too narrow for me. Replaced it with an S-works Power Mirror in 143mm. Also removed the tan sidewall tires 🤮🤮 and put on some black GP5000 STR in 28mm F/R. Added my old Bontrager carbon bottle cages and Ultegra pedals. This + my bracket for saddle bag mount and Garmin mount came in at 17.30lbs. In a size M. Only .16lb heavier than my girlfriend's brand new 8th gen Madone with Force AXS (weighed with similar configurations, saddle bag removed, etc). Her's is a M which is like 53cm in Trek's new sizing.

Took it out for a 60mi ride this evening and felt great. Need to do some minor adjustments tomorrow when. I have more time. I was definitely rushing today to get it together to make the ride in time.

Can't wait to take it on a trip this weekend to do an annual ride we like that's 100mi/10k' climbing. Disc brakes should be a welcome change.
