[Ep. 1035] In July 2024 a new bicycle parking facility was opened at the railway station of ‘s-Hertogenbosch in the Netherlands. It is a temporary structure to offer much needed extra bicycle parking until the station will be redeveloped from 2030 on. Who is gonna pay the bill?
I prefer public transport over bicycles. Of course bicycles are very nice, but they require space to store (not as much as cars, but still quite a lot and they're still an eyesore), while public transport doesn't.
Hoi Mark. Ik vind je video's erg interessant maar ik vind het zo jammer dat de videokwaliteit vaak zo slecht is. Een paar jaar geleden heb ik ook al eens een opmerking hierover gemaakt. Toen ging het over de lage bitrate/blokkerigheid, vooral zichtbaar tijdens je gefilmde ritjes aan de bomen en gras e.d. die alle detail kwijt zijn.Dat is helaas vaak nog steeds zo. In deze video en zo nog een paar, zie ik erg storende resize/resample artifacts. De zogenaamde 'jaggies'. Ik vind het zo zonde want het is totaal niet nodig. Ergens in het programma dat je gebruikt om de video's te maken moet je toch een nettere filtering/resampling/interpolation in kunnen stellen. Lanczos bijvoorbeeld. Of op zijn minst trilinear of bicubic. Het resultaat is echt heel veel mooier en ook rustiger om naar te kijken. Hopelijk vat je dit niet op als kritiek. Met een kleine ingreep kunnen je video's er zoveel beter uitzien. Dat lijkt me zeker het proberen waard 🙂
Thus is incredibly high quality for a temporary solution. Makes me so grateful for how well cyclists are treated in the Netherlands.

At first I thought, Why is it so intensely ugly? But then to my relief you said it was just temporary. We do know though that nothing is as permanent as a temporary solution, so we'll see. Let's just hope its successor will be beautiful, not a square box
That looks fantastic for a temporary solution. In my country this would easily be in the top ten bike parking stations.
