Katie: "You know, I told you I'm staying at a fancy hotel tonight? We'll, that's not it."
Me: Muwahaha! Best line of the day!!!! 🙌🙌🙌
P.S. When you stopped at the lovely rock formation and let us share in tearly emotions of joy you were feeling my wife and I both said to each other that you are the without a doubt the best YouTuber on the planet. ❤🌍❤
Ouch
Katie, you are living the dream as you should. Keep on trucking. I am from Toronto, 79 and do 12,000 km per year and two weeks in Europe each year with 30+ cycling friends that I organize. Like you I am in heaven when I am on my bike. Nirvana. I, also must add, that I spend Jan & Feb in Florida for more biking. You are an inspiration for all those younger cyclists that adore your videos as I do. My wife is a cyclists which helps as she understands the love.
Thank you for a lovely trip!!!❤️❤️❤️
The views of the mountain passes and the roads are just stunning.
I managed to pass out today. First time for everything. 35 miles in, I sat at a statue, eating and drinking, followed by dizziness and woooo 😵💫 I'd fuelled up prior and along the way. Drank plenty, too. Caught me out it did. Saved by some kind souls in a nearby bar. But really embarrassing. It was a 30 mile-ish canalside trek. Just over 90km in total with all the getting there. But something I wanted to do, just to see if it were actually possible. Explore what makes you happy 😊
I need money to book the things I wanna do 😜
Can you not get Orangina in the UK? It would be just a little reminder of the trip when you are back home! Loving this video series- now I want to do this beautiful ride!
One of my favorite things about this trip are the cows, who clearly don't give a F* about the traffic laws 🧐😉
Kookaburra sits on the old gum tree,
Merry merry king of the bush is he.
Laugh, Kookaburra, laugh, Kookaburra,
Gay your life must be!
Kookaburra sits on the old gum tree,
Eating all the gum drops he can see.
Stop Kookaburra, stop Kookaburra
Save some there for me!
Kookaburra sits on the old gum tree,
Laughing at the monkeys he can see.
Laugh Kookaburra, laugh Kookaburra
That's not a monkey, that's me!
You almost had me tearing up about your trip, and I was not even riding 🥹! Don't ever stop loving the rocks they are marvelous things to be around and ride through while biking.
Hi i used to be one who worried about average ect .. now i just go out and do my own pace and stop where i want and for as long as i want really enjoying my new type of cycling
After 50k I start getting slightly tired already, but the reward is the feeling you get after you moved your body once in bed
It was a moment I could completely relate to when you spoke of your love and great times cycling. I down hill mountain bike raced when I turned 40 then got into ultra endurance cycling when I turned 49. Then ran into some health problems and over use injuries in my mid 50s. But now I'm 63 with my health challenges and injuries under control and looking forward to living the rest of my years on top of two wheels. The greatest times I ever had were on my bicycle and there are many more great places and great times ahead for me. What a ride you're having, Katie. So awesome, Thank you so much for taking us along…
Hi Katie you are having a good time injoy you deserve all the joy of cycling you are one good kind lady takecare
'Stopping whenever I like' – that's the spirit of cycling that gets missed all too often, and I'm as guilty of it as everyone else. Sometimes it's just nice to be out, and not feel guilty about enjoying life and leaving the camera behind once in a while. You do keep adding to my bucket list though! 🤣
Katie I get what you're saying. I used to be a trail runner and would stand on top of a mountain on my own and cry at the view, the experience, the feelings… Now I'm a triathlete but it still gets me when I'm out on long bike rides!
I love touring esp in the Pyrenees. You are right I spend so much time thinking of arriving at the destination rather than enjoying getting there. I also notice you sing whilst descending I also find myself doing that it's an involuntary thing. I sing rubbish songs out of tune. It's an age thing (I'm 70 😭)
Good reflections Katie. Soak it all in and live the moment, taking in the experience so you fully experience it. What an incredible place to ride a pushy!
Yes you could have done the 1000km race then you would have had to go back and do the entire ride again so you could see everything as you don't see much when racing.
I really liked the bit about being 'in the now', Katie. I reckon you're on the right track with that. Keep up the great work! Please, can you come down here to the Antipodes and bring some warm weather with you? For those who think it doesn't get cold here in Oz, this morning (Tues. 30th July) my little town (Grenfell, NSW) had a minimum temp of -4.2C. Don't know what the maximum was but suspect it was high teens. Hooroo!
Awesome videos of this journey Katie. Super pleased for you and proud to call you a mate. See you soon!
Katie, i dont know if i missed in the first videos, but did you travel over there by plane? if so what did u do with the bike case/bag? thanks
😂
You're not a silly bugger – I'm welling up watching! Enjoy your memory making!
Katie, Thank you, thank you, thank you! What a fantastic ride and a fantastic video series! I loved it and your message about going out and doing the trip you have wanted to. I love how we get to be in nature when we are on our bikes.
One of your best videos ever! Please do more like this. Thank you again.
Hey Katie, I used your method of getting up hills. I just send out and just cranked them out without thinking about how hard it might be, next thing I knew I was at the top of the hill! Crushed it! Thanks for the great tip.❤❤
