Hi, i’m new to bikes, and have a question about what has happened here and what needs to be done/how much it would cost to fix. (It also doesn’t move forward or back)

Take it to a local bike shop, looks like a shifter or brake cable that’s broken, shouldn’t be too expensive, where I used to work would charge we’d between £10-20 to replace something like that.
