Hey Riders…..
Here we go, another great location for another killer workout. This week we find ourselves on the island of Madeira. Taking on a short but very lumpy course, no brutal climbs, shorter ones but they just keep coming at you. Watch out for volcanoes.

  1. just been adding the race report – key moments to my own video. Was a good race. my key attack points were the two small speed bumps after the check point and that part on the final climb when it got a bit steep. I was only 11th today and realise in hindsight that if i had launched a final attack from around 600m to the end – i may have ended with a sprint finish because i was only seconds away from 9th and 10th.

After plateau de beille this morning I am knackered. I went more in to the red than a kgb agent from 1965

  2. You read my mind exactly 100% LOL…
Moment 8:44. I get some mechanical issue with front shifter while trying to get to smaller ring. it get rusted and sticky and i lost probably 10+ seconds there.
The climbs even look short, they are long enough and steep, you won't expect sprint finish – just keep grinding in VO2 zone effort and, then who has better FTP + w/kg would win.

  3. Now I always download the route for races because I had problems with the app a few times. This is very helpful. Nice route to check 20 minute ftp. Colin sit on the trainer to tire your legs and heart. Best regards.
