Pauline Ferrand-Prévot takes the gold medal in the Paris Olympic Games.
The highly-decorated multi-discipline superstar attacked away with brutal pace on the second lap up the main climb of the 4.4km course southwest of Paris, leaving Puck Pieterse and Loana Lecomte in her dust and dominating the whole day right to the line.
Ferrand-Prévot became the inaugural winner of the UCI Gravel World Championships in the women’s race.
Ferrand-Prévot comes from a cycling family; her uncle Ludovic Dubau was 1994 French champion in cross-country mountain biking and competed in the 2000 Summer Olympics.
