Last time around I had my first full day in Finland, and even though the scenery around me was really stunning I still found there was something missing to make this into that epic adventure I was expecting. Gravel. But this third day promised lots of it, as I was preparing to ride through a large wilderness area up in northern Finland. This is bikepacking wild Finland.

wow, the lake at the end was stunning. Great video Mike!
thanks Mike, great scenery, so peaceful and vast, great stuff
More new views of an area i will never see in person. Thank you so much for documenting your adventure!
💪
Amazing scenery. Are the forks on your bike on the right way, seem to be on backwards?
Great, want to do as part of the iron curtain trail. You mentioned a link to the Finland shelter locations. would it be ok to post ? Thanks
I sometimes swap my other more comfy saddle onto the bike when I am touring for a few days
I’m curious as to what you use your create your food packs like the macaroni cheese for lunch?
That lake looked so peaceful and relaxing. 151km??? Well done!
Not need mosquito repellent!?
I had to laugh out loud!
* Thanks for sharing the ride!
Hi Mike, fantastic video, as always! Can you please say a bit more, or maybe even do a video about how you prepared your own meals to be cooked?! Would really be interesting!
About your comment regarding the Saddle… Do you wear padded pants/bibs?
I like Mike:)
The skiimobile trails are great with the fatbike, they’re like a highway through the forest. Have to ride them with the lights, though. If we have no darkness at the summer, we only have darkness at the winter. The tracks by the roads are a rarity at the middle of the finland, they might cross the road here and there but mostly they’re middle of the forest. They’re groomed and maintained by the local clubs, too.
Thanks for another interesting video. Can you tell me a bit about the bike and setup?
Thanks, looking forward to more of your adventure.
Nice ride.. Thank you so much for documenting your adventure!
19:34 / 24:24 "There is a website that lists all these type of shelters here in Finland, and I'll leave a link down in the description below."
???
There's not much energy to be gained from this meals you eat
Hi Mike. Your journey looks amazing so far.
I am a big city dweller and have a new found love for biking. I don't know the ins and outs about camping and such so I have so many questions that you just seem to skip over:
Where do you poop? Toilet paper? Shower? Clean clothes? Clean socks? Washing clothes? Brushing teeth?
Do you need a lock for your bike, surely when you get further south?
Are you not scared of wildlife? I mean such as bears or wolves.
Is the "running" water drinkable, you say you "warm it" but do you mean to bring it to boiling for killing off the bacteria?
Thx Mike
I wish to do one of these adventures of my own soon.
Pokka has a gasstation with a coffee bar with mars/snickers bars. 😏😏
Good to see that the gravelroad from Pokka was good now, 1 year ago they put a new layer of gravel and it was like pedaling threw mud.
Hey Mike you doing great job Keep going, and what model of Garmin you use and you recommended.
I am just addicted to your videos.Thank you again for great episode
Great video, content, and music selections for this day's journey. What a beautiful setting to spend the evening and night at. Thanks for taking us along with you, Mike!
Great video Mike! I would love being so remote! I think it’s so cool that you folks have all these shelters to camp in. We have nothing like that here in the States.
Thank you for posting your biking adventures. The scenery is beautiful and your calm and positive attitude makes watching your videos a pleasure.
Thx Bike Mike! I like your videos. The slow manner of speaking is relaxing and sometimes funny in a good way. Cheers!
The north gives you all kind of weather. Now in July the northern Lapland has been one of the warmest regions in Finland, around +30C (86F) for a quite some time.
