TL;DR: it zips, therefore it fits—right?

Getting into road biking after being a trail/rough gravel kinda guy. (Ignore the XC bike, road-ish bike on order…)

Bibs are a little snug but I’m losing 2-3 pounds per week (around a kilo for those of your playing from a country with a sane unit system), so I figure I’ll shrink into them. I’ve lost 50 lbs (~23 kgs) already. Trying to keep up the pace without getting bored.

This is all inexpensive gear from Amazon. Got my eye on some nicer kit but I (a) just bought a new bike, and (b) don’t want to waste cash on gear that will, hopefully, be too big for me in a couple months.

Looks like a good fit to me, that’s awesome your having such progress on the loss. Any suggestions?

    2. Have you considered more of a club fit: looser jersey? It would be more flattering of a fit (I wear them too).

Also a 1400 calorie deficit doesn’t sound right. How much is your daily calorie requirement? Theres many online calculators (a popular one is https://tdeecalculator.net/ and choose sedentary or not very active to get a more accurate assessment). Most trainers recommend a 250-500 deficit for a sustainable weight loss.

    3. Looks good to me mate. It zips up and it’s not warping the zip so it’s good tbh. Unless you’re really concerned about the contours of your body showing then a club fit might not necessarily be more flattering…but I don’t think you look bad at all tbh. Well done on the progress!!

Also – don’t apologise for the XC bike! Just as much opportunity for steez on a mountain bike. Xc riding is my favourite type of riding.

Good for you, man. Keep it up. Congrats!
Get a navy jersey with minimal logos to match those bibs and it will be very slimming. Match your socks to your shoes to finish it off. Socks go to the bottom of your calf muscle.
If you’re concerned about dark clothes in hot weather. Get clothes treated with Coldblack. It reflects heat evenly though it’s black. Amazing stuff.
