    1. Tom Hiddleston does not speak greek by any means!!! The excerpt he reads (not well enough may I add) in the interview is in fact ancient greek from the play Electra by Sophocles which he most likely learned phonetically when he performed the role of Orestes years ago.

    2. Sandra Bullock's German IS impressive. I'm German and a teacher and I know how difficult this language is. Because of the extensive grammar it's one of the hardest language to learn and she sounds great.

    3. Yeah, but the way GK and ET speak French is very different sounding to the ear that doesn’t understand the language (namely me. 😁) Emma’s sounds very posh… and Gene Kelly’s sounds like what one might hear on the borders, or in the countryside….
Just an observation… no disrespect to either awesome actor or amazing language! 🙌🏼

    4. It's mostly Spanish, French and Italian. Would be great to see more of some rare languages. Maybe there will be another list 😉

    5. 2:56 Mark Zuckerberg speaks Mandarin. He's not "fluent" in it at all. Props to him for being able to learn a language spoken by close to two billion people around the world 🤣

    6. Think the most shocking thing from this list (for me at least) is the guy whose father is Brazilian/German.

An actor being multilingual isn't that shocking.

    7. If you're able to can you do a part 2 where other celebrities have more obscure languages that they taught themselves like Filipino, Samoan, Polynesian, Somali and Cambodian but I hope you know what I mean by other more obscure languages or is something that affect?😅

    8. I was recently in Europe. We obviously spoke Afrikaans to each other, because we are from South Africa. At first I was shocked when strangers started speaking to us in Afrikaans. We met South Africans in Barcelona, Paris, Prague and Istanbul. Please tell Charlize that there are still a lot of people speaking Afrikaans around the world.😅😅😅

    9. I’m from South Africa and we start with English lessons from the age of 9 in grade 3 . It is impossible that Charlize started learning English from 19 years old. About 75 % South Africans are bilingual and with that I mean that you speak your Mother tongue and then the other language will be English. It is compulsory for South Africans to do English until grade 12/ Matric/ final school year.

    10. Children who are brought up in a bilingual household, or are subjected to other languages at an early age, develop a part of the brain responsible for learning other languages that goes dormant in most of us. My brain is definitely not wired for a second language, as I've lived in Austria for over 20 years (I'm 69), and still find German very difficult to speak fluently.
