Also, never lock a bike that you aren't willing to lose outside. For example a $2500 Kona Sutra LTD

2 d locks and they will steal it in broad daylight with an angle grinder. The problem is systematic.
well they can still steal your bike seat. dunno if you fancy riding home without a bike seat
Wrong. Do it this way and you only have to release each wheel to remove the frame

Locks, any kind of locks are only there to slow down these damn theives, locks dont " prevent " shit, if they want it bad enough, they'll take it no matter what lock you put on it.
The first lock you demonstrate only has front wheel, the fork doesn't count when locking, if you remove wheel you have the rest of the bike
The only safe way to lock a bike is to lock it next to bikes that aren't locked as well that are much more valuable. These tips are good though, I have seen way too many bikes locked up missing their wheels.
That's why i use five locks of this kind on my bike, So that even thieves are tired of it.
