Similar ride to yesterday just slightly busier roads. Still beautiful forest sections, lots of villages & farms. Basically, still following the Krka River. Valley broadened out into quite extensive farmlands as we neared our destination. A krick in the Krka forms a lovely island of rather old buildings, not all in use but nearly all with flowers in window boxes. Once a castle but long since gone. Wooden bridges and a one-way street system to lap the island. Stopped in town for lunch before coming to our accommodation. A group of school children (probably the graduates) enjoying time together in the bar-restaurant. Our accom is a small hotel. Hosting a primary school graduation tonight – setting up when we arrived. 15-year-olds graduating and going onto secondary school. Explored the village and believe we’ve found the kind of place you could retreat to for a couple of months if one was wanting to be creative. Most buildings are occupied on closer inspection. Larger villas probably now with several apartments. Beehive house with a swarm outside. Stopped at a riverside bar for the usual while we watched a beach volleyball game in progress on the other side of the river. Returned to our Hotel for dinner amongst the teachers, parents and graduates.
