Piastri clinches maiden win in dramatic Hungary GP!

Oscar Piastri claimed his first Formula 1 career win with victory over McLaren team mate Lando Norris, with Lewis Hamilton joining them on the podium for the Hungarian Grand Prix.

Lando Norris wasn’t particularly interested in chatting about the team orders from McLaren as he was told to give up the lead to Oscar Piastri.
Strategic planning from McLaren resulted in the Woking-based squad being backed into an awkward corner after giving second-placed Lando Norris priority in the final stops at the Hungaroring.

    1. The team messed up so bad, they told Lando to give up when they literally contributed for him to be on the lead. And piastri couldn’t even enjoy his win, they could have just kept the positions at first without all the drama.

    2. Next time they need to pit first car first or just let it be as it is after the pit stop and let them fight it out.
Teamorders just mess it up and they will end up with two unhappy drivers

    3. Absolutely ridiculous -This has nothing to do with racing and everything to do with a false sense of needing to pamper the drivers by the pit crew/leaders.

Piastri could have taken it out with the pit crew after the race – humiliating Lando was totally unnecessary . and I don't even like the guy.

    4. Oscar deserved this one, Norris missed too many shots and McLaren has to see if a couple wins from Piastri can give him that mental step that turns a talent into a possible champion, Norris can't handle Max and that's a problem you can't underestimate once you have the fastest and smoothest cars on the grid. Also Piastri showed great control in a leading position, if this guy can outqualify Norris in p3, he's got more chances to bring wins home than Norris does

    5. Norris is a me me guy wants all attention he will have to grow up your a team work together oscar has helped him out so fair is fair grow up me me

    6. If Piastri needs a soft win for his confidence/mental health he is maybe in the wrong job. Yes he did well off the line, fine, but the team chose the pit strategy. If Norris had been holding up Pastri then ok, but he increased his lead and is the driver nearest to Verstappen. So Mclaren look very amateur and they have put in a long term discord in the team, not brought it together. Norris should have said if he wants it he has to come and get it Its like spain giving england a goal so they can play extra time. F1 total farce again. And as for Verstappen, he belongs in a creche.

    7. Instead of trying to sign Alex Palou a couple of years back McLaren should have been trying to sign Palou's strategist. Don't get me wrong, Palou is a generational talent, but his strategist is very very underrated. Always seems to put Palou in positions to succeed.
