Can we just remember stage 1 – before he’d even secured the 35th win – sick as a dog – fighting to make the time cut – on more than a couple of stages – quite the journey he’s been on in this tour.

watching Tour de France made me realize that the winning is not about bike, helmet, skin suit but strong mind and body.
I've just seen him as he flew back into LHR from Nice, such a decent, humble man who took time to stop and meet the people who turned up to welcome him back home.
What a fine sportsman and gentleman he is, well done on all your fantastic achievements over the years 👏
