Cote de Domancy in the Mont Blanc region of the French alps – its. my local climb and now its on the ZWIFT climb portal. Here’s a quick look at how ZWIFT compares to the rel thing together with some history and facts about the climb.

For the French 🇫🇷 the Cote de Domancy is firmly etched in history with French hero Bernard Hinault’s win in the 1980 World Cycling Championships. The course started in nearby Sallanches and climbed the Cote de Domancy 20 times. On the last lap Hinault attacked and the rest is history.

Today the Cote de Domancy is a regular feature in both the Tour de France and the Criterium du Dauphine. It was climbed in the 2016 and 2023 Tour de France Time Trials. The Cote de Domancy is sure to feature in the 2027 Wolrd Cycling Championship road race when our region, Haute Savoie, has the mega Worlds in 2027, similar to Glasgow 2023.

Col du Petit St Bernard / 🇮🇹 Colle del Picollo San Bernardo. The Col du Petit St Bernard has been open just a week after the Winter snows have been cleared and there are are over 5 metre snow walls as we approach the summit of the Col.
