    1. They put in the 20MPH limit in my village (Stow, Scottish Borders) as an experiment and I've never seen the traffic speeds so high on average. Drivers are now fully aware there is pretty much zero chance of being pulled for speeding. They used to have an infrequent speed check a few years back as you came into the village from Edinburgh. It was stopped, due to it being to dangerous because of the speed of drivers coming past! Couldn't make up the BS they peddle these days!

    2. We've got foodbanks in every town and village and they waste 32 million on this, elect a corrupt first minister from Africa, while importing half the 3d world.
What a start. Strap in folks.

    3. I'm from Bridgend south Wales and I am extremely pissed off that so much money has been wasted when the town is full of homeless people sleeping in doorways and people using food banks to survive, right now I'm embarrassed to be Welsh!!!.

    4. More taxpayers money wasted, it is the same here in Cornwall, hardly anyone takes notice of them, just more money wasted, the po lice have said they cannot enforce it either. They never even asked the people, just went ahead and done it, what an absolute joke councils are.

    5. Our roads here in Wales have potholes in potholes, some of them large enough to disturb a 40 ton trucker.
This was always a disaster and the kremlin dwellers down in the Bay know it.
Now sort the NHS, Police and Councils etc etc etc and perhaps there'd be singing once again in the valleys.

    6. It isnt scrapped. we have got to tell our councils where we want 20mph targeted and what roads to go back to 30mph. The trouble is ive emailed Swansea Council (my council) since September when they braught it in and they are reluctant to make any changes, they dont email me back anymore. It is frustrating being ignored

    7. Meanwhile, the Oxfordshire Council is rolling out even more of the damn 20mph speed limits across the county because according to them there is "overwhelming public support" for it….Funny thing though is that it doesn't matter how many people you ask nobody is in favour of 20mph speed limits….I suspect this is just yet another example of Oxfordshire Council overstepping their authority to push their agenda on the general public….

    8. I live in the North east of England and the council introduced a 20 mph limit on all roads in our town 8 years ago at the time i thought it was crazy on all roads but we have getting used to it and i now appreciate how much more safer it is for pedestrians and car users to travel at 20 mph instead of 30 mph and with modern technology in cars such as speed limiters it is much easier to stick to.

    9. This is why we really don't want speed limiters mandated in cars. It would remove any possibility of a speed limit being "unenforcable" and the government could then race all our speed limits to zero whilst ensuring complete compliance. 20 mph on motorways, anyone?

    10. None of you guys live in Wales right ? Those villager’s in Wales who are obviously fewer in number than petrol heads, actually enjoyed a better quality of life for a while.
If you leave it at 20 then people are going to do thirty. Move it to thirty they’ll do forty and so on.
It wasn’t a blanket 20mph speed limit, it was only in a very limited number of places and on a journey of two hours probably added four minutes to your journey if at all.

    11. Fines for 20 zones should now be repaid, points removed and licences returned with compensation. And no extra funding for the councils that wasted this money. Politicians that supported this crap should pay for the losses to send a message to councils across the uk thinking about implementing this anti freedom rubbish…
