Remco and Jonas were putting up their best numbers. I’m sorry but it’s not normal to decimate a top level field like this. I would love to be wrong! Either way it’s still a beautiful race and an amazing performance by Tadej.
Thanks for the highlights. I can't quite share the media pundits' glowing enthusiasm for this year's race, however. The 2020-2023 Tour (and seasons as a whole) have been the most interesting in pro road cycling for years, but imo it's taken a dip this year, probably mostly due to the big names crashing earlier in the year. The classics lost their pizzaz once Van Aert crashed and couldn't be competitive, and it's been similar with the Tour and Vingegaard, although tbf he did give it a damn good go.

Final stage in TdF, tough time trial. Gets to the finish one min. faster than the world champion one hour later, then immediately gets off his bike and starts celebrating/dancing/jumping along with his team mates. Did not break a sweat, does not even have to breathe. I'll believe it.
