What's your favourite story we've covered so far in 2024? Let us know!
What has happened to Naomi's fingers?! She's all splinted up! Is she playing rugby? 😮 I love a book club! These hard working people need to have a platform to let us know what they've been doing. Their work appeals to all of us Time Team fans.
Book club for sure.
6:27 looks as if that is the gift to God from vikings pledge to him leaving the Norse religion.

Love this program and a book of the month is a great idea. Thank you!
Or the tobacco was just offering somebody a good cigar????
Sutton Hoo.
Did the Italian researchers studying the Rapa Nui glyphs ask the people of Rapa Nui if they knew of them or were told about them?
NOPE. They didn’t ‘conquest’ Scotland – did they.
Is constructive criticism acceptable? The presenter is reading a script, sometimes at pace. Listening requires concentration. I replay segments trying to catch bits I miss. A more relaxed off the cuff style might improve watchability.
Loved all the news and your diction is so clear it is a pleasure to listen and understand what you are saying x❤
Absolutely fascinating and hugely entertaining! More please. With love from Melbourne, Australia.
Yay!👌
As an American,, i think poverty point is interesting to see what our first peoples created while the rest of the world built in stone.
As an independent scholar – historian of Decorative Arts – I'm astounded by what is NOT talked about in this broadcast. Cross-cultural studies remain in a dark region of infancy – this can be easily altered to hugely advance what is known of our world.
XRF analysis is one of the least-utilized yet most important tools available – it works on virtually all solid materials. The ongoing absurdly high cost of hand-held units needs to be addressed – at the very least, British & European rental sources need to be disclosed. I own the largest private collection of early lighting & related metalwork in France – with an XRF unit & an assistant, I could revolutionize what is known.
I question the accuracy of statements about Poverty Point – a number of Neolithic Chinese Hongshan & Liangzhu Culture sites were huge.
My collection of Neolithic "jade" (the word applies to other hardstones) pendants is small – about 60 – yet the international importance of sculpted or engraved motifs remains ignored by archaeologists.

Thank you Time Team! Fantastic program's, always! May I suggest the St Ninian silver cups are for containing the eucharist? The high quality of art and that has a base plate to hold the host. Thank you once more.
