    1. Thank you to Visma and Vingegaard for trying. Its so rare in cycling. Most teams and riders wait and wait and never do anything. Congrats to Pogi.

    2. These guys are riding so much quicker than those in the Armstrong era who were doping up to their eyeballs. Honest question; are the marginal gains from aero kit and better science really making that much of a difference or is there anything else going on?

    3. Not gonna lie. This is how I like to see TP. Post race interview he looked quite relaxed. With this impressive win TP looks good. Although yes, it would not be wise to start counting your chickens just yet.!

    4. It's amazing to me that people see these riders smashing course records with no obvious signs of extreme fatigue after, and can't immediately surmise that the entire field is doping.

    5. Three big things going on. Altitude training has become much more scientific with less guess work.
Heat management is now standard with heat training and much more effort put into keeping athletes cool before and during the stage and
      3) fueling has been increased by a LOT. Some WT pros are consuming 140g of carbs per hour

    6. I would like to see something that has never happened so far in professional cycling, something that is considered impossible, winning tour giro and vuelta in the same year, he's the one who can try and make it!!

    7. Have to say it’s a bit suspect two huge stages to be at the front twice (ok he lost the springt to Jonas) but every other big clîmber who did that type of feat = caught cheating. He was going 30km/h everyone else including those fresher than him in the low 20’s…

    8. E.T. Strikes again

he is the only person who can make a bicycle fly with no effort

Only seen that once before and I never thought I would see him return in human form as Tadej Pogacar

    9. I think we need a shout out for the unsung heroes of the TDF – the research scientists who’ve come through with the amazing pharmaceuticals that enable performances like this 🎉💪🏻👏🏻 I thought they did an amazing job with EPO in the 90’s but this new stuff is pure nitrous oxide 🔥 Great job nerds! 👏🏻🎖️🎖️🎖️

    10. Pogi is smashing records since years. Either hes under a drug that can not be detected yet or he s truly the best of all times. He wins everywhere, which makes me think he is just talented and genetically superior for cycling.

    11. “The last thing I’ll say for the people that don’t believe in cycling, the cynics and the sceptics, I’m sorry for you. I’m sorry you can’t dream big and I’m sorry you don’t believe in miracles…”

      -Lance Armstrong.

    12. Aamazing how many fans of sport but newer ones were ridiculnig long time fans trying to explain frowing into tour is a myth. If what a lot of jonas fans were sating was true thank god tour wasnt 7 weeks because by then hed be setting unbreakable KOMS. Chapeau jonas hes done great and was in unfair position as new sponsor needed return on investment otherwise he maybe doesnt ride although if tadej wasnt there hed get yellow.
Its attritional sport always has been therhas always been a favorite since 89 wheh I started watching thatif they stayed upright and healthy they win. What eciting is million variables unfold but one that doesnt is anyone gets "stronger" everyone gets weakler". If youve trained cycling there is a ratio of days on and off in order to absorb the work have your muscles heal and then have them loosen and become supple so you can access all of the gains. Everyone tires on a sliding scale based on fitness and prep. Last yearjonas had perfect prep and loaded team tadej crashed had surgery. 2022 tadej had 2 teammates and wouldnt have mattered prioz and jonas outworked hi and had wout in for of life ahead as satteliite it was ycle bullying. 2021 jonas wasnt even primary and he had 4 teammates although they wereprobably betterthan rag tag UAEat time. Now people givinig pogi hard time making every stagehard why do you think inone days favorites team sets as high tempo as possible bevause their leader is strongest so is trace is hard as possible the strongest survives. Thats whyt team is so important they ensure the favorites odds get delivered. Peole saying he is wastnig energy are clueless because they werent following in the wheels they wrere dropped every tmie and had to work extremely hard to bridge.
Again proof you deterioirate over race is that you cant rest on rest days you have to keep apporiaching it as a loading period and train because resting causes healing which causes stiffness and then youre screwed thats why historically so many people have bad days after rest day an abandon. TGhis process only increases from first rest day to second as you rake on mountrains jonas could follow on emmilai as its practically muscle memory on an easy day. The harderthe days the harder the cloimbs the more the gas tabk gets testes like last year after rest day tadej had badITT and was so off on stage 17 he crashed which happens often whehn on limit or fatigued and completely imploded on HC col de la luz. Same aplicable to jonas this year where you see he is onjly a little off following the initial accelerations but its work deep into the cave that he starts to lose time be it time trial, galibier descent, plateau de beille hes exhausted and empty. Thats not unique to one person and not another this applies to every cyclist and the two best are no exception just look at last years tour with tadej and this years with jonas. Ive watche 35 tours even in the craziest eras its remained and endurance sport where they all fade the landis stage 17 I think it was the day afterbonk and then solo raid over 4-5 eaks was only exception. Anything can happen and thats why we watch theres illness, bad luck, crashes, fanily problems but as for racing we tried to explain this befiore race and weremet with hostility which is so strabnge because its a fact of physoilogy you seemed to understand last yearso so well whe Tadej had interupted training nevermind targeting one days with extraweight so this yearwinning giro was great but staying at GT GCweight was most important change this yearfor Tadej. Dont mean any slight to jonas these two are best GC cyclists and best rivalry ive ever seen better than hinault, lemond, fignon, or indurain, pantani, berzin, breukink, contador, schleck. I think its best ever as Bartali and coppi wereteammates then as they raced by nation and theur Italian team was loaded so much so a fan actually stabbed gino one year causinig them to woithdraw. Thats th 50s version of doritos in face.
Enjoy were watching lots of history not just a guy going for double , abguy breaking a merckx record which is unheard of, and liekly watching best rider of all tmie something ive been stubbornly saying since vuelta podiuim souplesse, panache, prodigiuisness, hevermind racing he insteadif sitting in chaurs roills around on unicycle. Hes the messi of cycling imho cheers anything can still happen
