I was so happy for Campenaerts, but also so sad for Kwiatkowski and Vercher. the effort of 18 stages to allow them to get to that moment in the finishing line… specially Kwiatkowski, that looked so silly being ahead, looking behind and missing it. ugh, tough

the best scene of this stage was all the riders sharing a package of M&M's hahahaha In my imagination, they brought the M&M's to the race to eat 'secretly'. the reason why they ride in a pack is not for aero purposes, it is to hide the eating of M&M's hahahaha

He said “désolé” which means “I’m sorry” he wasn’t crying for himself he was crying for not winning the stage for his team…yes, that is heartbreaking and hopefully he will try again. Persistence is omnipotent in this sport. Meanwhile. Victor’s suffered the same fate countless times and never gave up. He finally got his reward for all the hard work, dedication and persistence…what a sport, what athletes ❤ 🏆
Oh this is so wholesome! 3 amazing cyclists duking it out, leaving it all out there…then, Campenaerts brought to tears while sharing his joy with his partner, Michal hiding from press because he was surely crushed by his effort…and then Matteo, omg, and his teammates reassuring him, I want to hug him. I want to give them all a hug. All heart and feels, Fierce young men. It's beautiful to witness it all…🥰

Road cycling is the only sport where only winning matters. I wonder where this destructive philosophy came from? In Mountain biking, the top 5 all celebrate their achievements as they cross the line. Unfortunate that Matteo Vercher is made to feel bad about finishing second in an epic TdF stage. It's an amazing achievement.

Un coureur qui fait ce qu'il veut dans ce Tour de France 2024. Il attaque quand il veut, il gagne quand il veut, il surclasse coéquipiers et concurrents comme il veut. Ce n'est pas un coureur celui-là, c'est un automate, ou… un type qui s'est bien dopé. Il me rappelle Lance Armstrong.
