Rather large high bridge to cross early on. Found a bit of gravel to get us off the main road for a bit, before dropping down to the coastal road Via Scrima – lovely quiet seaside village. More for families & swimming; then in the same bay Vodice – full of yachts & motor launches. Stopped here for coffee on the waterfront. Once out of the towns the road took us through quite dry, hot looking countryside. Scrubby, no shade. Rock walls and rock piles everywhere. Mainly olive trees. Caught the 2:30 ferry – just enough time to buy tickets & wheel the bikes on. Tkon is located on the island of Pašman and is connected by ferry to the mainland town of Biograd na Moru. On arrival we found a seaside restaurant for creamy shrimp soup & potato crisps, plus fresh lemonade. Perfect. Our apartment is very compact, but it has absolutely everything you need. Walked down for a quick dip in the ocean.
