  1. I was surprised to hear a sports commentator say he was in a class (or was it a world?) of his own and he could win many more tours. Without mentioning Lance Armstrong.
He was also so exceptional and had unbelievable preparation and left nothing to chance. He really didn't. Maybe Pogacar is clean. But I don't understand how a commentator can talk about such an incredible performance without making any reference to Armstrong and doping. I don't believe the thought is not in their head.

  2. Why are some people only now starting to doubt the performances in the TDF? When Visma was dominating I didn't hear or see near as many comments about their out of this world performances.

  3. Honestly I want to believe this is a true performance by a special individual. My parents were keen cyclists and grew up watching the tour in the 90s. Maybe its age or the fact that I experienced cycling during the EPO years but im just cynical about Pogs performances. Would love to be able to believe in the heroic all conquering rides that are a consequence of his exceptional talent and its natural that he has the innate ability to glide past other riders on a 9% gradient while beating the best times and power output ever recorded. Would love to be able to watch the tour and admire someone at their peak and be able to admire it. Unfortunately i cannot because I however hard I try I have this nagging feeling that there is something wrong, how can he be so much better than all the others, not just on one day but consistently. How can times recorded by known riders using EPO be easily eclipsed and solely attributed to advancements in science, technology etc… Please someone point out the flaws in this logic because I like this sport and want enjoy without having to question it?

  4. The way he rode the last 10 kms with a steady pace on such a steep slope was impressive. The other riders couldn't keep up. He didn't even seem tired at the end of the race after such an effort. The same type of unbelievable performance was displayed by JV in the time trial of the previous TDF. The media started suspecting performance-enhancing drug usage then. I don't know why no one is talking about doping allegations today.

  5. There are no contenders, there are no riders that can do what riders used to do in the 90s or 2000s, they're so consumed with themselves on what is being told about them on social media, no concentration, no dedication.
How lame is this tour, that they left a 39 year old rider known now for his crashes "win" a stage (most likely he or his team paid them off) so that a record could be broken, what a disgrace….Mark Crashindish will never be, and never was close to Merckx.

  6. Just adding 21 seconds on thw last 1 km aginst a leader is unbelievable. Something is smoking in the mountains. We have to wait for sometime.

  7. For a second I thought I was watching 2003 Lance eating up Ulrich, but this time on steroids 😉. Be clean Pogi, just be clean…

  8. Really highlights the yawning chasm in the difference in class between a GC rider and a pure sprinter. Pogacar needs less help from his team to finish first overall than Cavendish needs to finish last!

  9. The excitement is long gone for me. Hats off to Pogacar, I’m not taking anything away from his performance. I’m done watching cycling though.

  10. Please explain why onscreen the front riders is not named but only "TETE DE LA COURSE" but the second rider is named onscreen. Thanks.

  11. Que Monstruo, cualquiera llevaría el final del Tour de manera aburrida detrás de los directos contrincantes, sin importar nada más, pero no, quiere dar espectáculo al publico, es un verdadero representante, hace que las instancias no sean monótonas
