🇮🇹 Il ciclista belga Van Gils, della squadra Lotto Dstny ha sferrato uno schiaffo al greco Georgios Bouglas nel corso della volata alla Japan Cup Criterium disputata in Giappone domenica 15 ottobre 2023, come reazione per averlo quasi avrebbe fatto cadere. Il ciclista belga è stato sanzionato dall’UCI, riconoscendo il proprio errore e precisando che si è trattato di una reazione sbagliata, per una manovra pericolosa compiuta dall’avversario.

🇬🇧 Belgian cyclist Van Gils, of the Lotto Dstny team, slapped Greek rider Georgios Bouglas during the sprint at the Japan Cup Criterium held in Japan on Sunday, 15 October 2023, as a reaction for almost knocking him over. The Belgian rider was sanctioned by the UCI, acknowledging his mistake and stating that it was a mistaken reaction to a dangerous manoeuvre by his opponent.
