We test some of the most expensive mountain bikes you can buy, but if we had to buy a bike for ourselves, with our own cash, what would we buy?

Testing the latest and greatest is one of the biggest perks of our job, and one we’re lucky to have the opportunity to enjoy and make a living from.

If we had to pull the trigger on a whip and didn’t work in the industry, we wouldn’t be spending five figures on a new bike. We, just like many of you, would be looking for all-round performance at a more attainable price than those spendy super bikes.

In this video, our mountain bike test team and presenters Tom and Will round up the bikes they’d be splashing their cash, if the dream of riding bikes for a living ended tomorrow.

What do you think of our picks?

    1. Would never buy a canyon ever again. Not a good experience. Terrible creaks right out the box, terrible headset design and if you need replacement parts you are going to pay outrageous prices and import fees.

      Buy local.
