join cycling offers structured training plans designed by World Tour level cycling coaches the average join user increases their V2 Max by 20% within a few months of training on join without even increasing their training hours per week but what was T Pacha and UAE team Emirates planning for today Twitter France stage 14 we into the high mountains back down into the Pyrenees from po to plada the first 70k will flat than the Talay 20K is at 75% which you’ll know well then the irregular oret Don is and then the also irregular but steep pla just under a 30 minute Mountaintop finish and Breakaway formation again for those teams like DSM the French teams EF education easy post Uno X marar you name them it was not going the break never went UAE looked like they were applying a modum of control initially and really the Breakaway teams they just never got sorted and by the time it did actually go with L Caro and Healey and you can see sha Quinn pulling to try rip open the Gap we’re already about 10ks away from the base of the Talay when Neils pollet setting a pace so the breakway never gets a big margin we’re at the tolay and it’s just formed the gaps about 4 minutes and Neils pollet does a huge shift for UA te Emirates today and it’s very clear what their plan is for the stage so sha Quinn he just gets on the front with Ben Healey the best climb in this this group in the break and tries to keep that Gap at least stable perhaps laano and Healey and manes and kovski should have just gone up the road and gone even harder because or maybe they couldn’t because wellin and pollet were setting such a heavy pace so patcha clearly planning something for the stage and the tooray yeah as I said Neil pollet one of his best ever climbing performances today just looking at the numbers we’ve got three or four visas we’ve got four inos five quickstep actually they’re looking really good so many blue jerseys in the pelaton I can’t really tell who’s who so I I’d like that to be fixed by next year it’s actually impossible to know where the cathlon or vismer or where anyone is half the time in a full Pelon down the foggy descent off the toet oron eyes where Mikel ripped the race apart in the parag good stage 17 in 2022 and the Breakaway the best climbers come to the front they know we’re at 3 minutes we got to try to pay at like the actual climbers Pace but Mark Solair puts a minute and a half into those Breakaway Riders absolutely shredding this climb like Mikel bu did a couple of years ago and reduced the group further vismer down to three Riders and the breakway gets in the valley d g probably talking to the Carly the Gap is what with Mark cair still shredding it Civic saying maybe slow down a bit on the flat but no one was slowing down even Ben Healey he goes straight from the bottom he had to on Plat day and COV takes over from Mark Solair and does one of his best domestique performances in this Twitter France so far and yeah I feel really sorry for he like his level is so good and on a different year or a different stage he would already have a Twitter France stage wi in the bag but that’s just that’s not how these things work when the GC boys are hungry they ought to eat and UAE were eating or feasting on everybody else today COV coming to the end of his pool after a couple of KS on pla day and almea says don’t worry I’ll take it from here third in the jro last year not a bad guy to have still with Adam Yates sitting behind with tat Patra a bit deeper in the group ala checking I don’t know maybe the the client profile or pressing the lap button and let’s just look at who we got rco obviously in the white jersey Adam Yates they don’t use him before alme like they did on P Marie he’s just sitting next to Pacha caros Rodriguez is the inos rider behind him and the Gap to benal doesn’t change too much it’s gone down 20 seconds when COV pulled it stays about the same when ala pulls and then we see Pacha having a word to Adam Yates and Yates doesn’t immediately go to the front in fact what we see is a jates attack the man with all Aura in the world as we know goes off the front without what are you a doing why would Yates attack pachu doesn’t care about Adam y stage win or Adam y moving up on GC no one in the GC group care about Adam y GC and you know cuz Quick Step they didn’t put land at a pace he’s not going to take 5 minutes on a 5k climb and he’s getting across to hilly quickly and the tell is when Yates is looking back yat is looking back all the time with 4.8 K to go and that means he’s waiting for a certain Man in the Yellow Jersey to bridge across and Pacha drops the hammer on yonas vingard attacking from behind him vingard never gets across to the wheel and paga is bridging across to his teammate up the road the Gap is pretty stable for the 1500 M from the attack Point yat starts pulling it looks like vingard on the Steep gradients might even be claing it back a little bit to 7 Seconds 6 seconds and pagat is looking back to see where he is whilst yakes is slowing down a bit The Gap is only about 3540 M but then it’s time for patas to go again with a second dig and this climb levels off we’ve got a descent a flat of 500 M A Punch up again and then the last sort of mile is only about 5% and so that’s advantage patcha whil vingard on the Steep gradiance was able to hold it manageable sub 10 seconds let’s say Pacha gets over this Crest visibly you can see it gets a bit shallower and he absolutely rips this Gap open go and check out Lon rouge.com we have the uh detailed analysis of the whats on today’s stage this is Pat’s best ever performance uh ever and one of the best ever this Century on a really intense stage the tomay and haw at Don on they didn’t walk up it he absolutely ruins the rest of the competition it’s not a long climb it’s a 27 minute climb and he puts big big time or it looks like it’s going to be big time into yonas vingar because that 20 seconds almost doubles in the last kilometer and a half and as you can see how irregular it is it seems to suit pater as he’s visibly going much much quicker than the Slender vingard and is the tour to France over after maybe a wobble on stage 11 paga makes a huge statement on Plat day at his best ever level and vingard losing big big time 43 seconds when you count up the bonies as well with another 110 to aul really good performance from Rodriguez on 119 then Chone brago Adam jates Felix G Jorgenson and Derek G rounding out the top 10 here’s what T paga had to say after the stage today was that planned or was that instinct it was uh it was Instinct yeah we we tried to go for the stage uh but uh more for the Sprint then uh yeah uh it was this kind of situation Adam attacked and uh yeah uh Vima had to try to to maintain the Gap and I see that uh yeah uh that if I Bridge uh to to Adam with a with a gap he can pull me a little bit and uh this was really perfect and uh yeah say a big big thank you to to all the team today they they were amazing and uh yeah this Victory is for all my teammates today you you wanted to hit hard uh you wanted to make a real difference with Yas no like I said the plan was just uh to come to to Sprint to the final and uh make the Sprint uh hard and uh maybe take uh some seconds stage win but uh in the end like this is much better but in terms of GC the Gap is now nearly 2 minutes to yis Ving who does go ahead of R even pool on 222 his Podium is looking really good but it seems like it can’t go any further for vingard he’s got to start cloring back time somewhere we’ll see if you can Big Mountain Stage tomorrow hope you enjoy the video I’ll see you then ciao

    1. I'm rooting for Vingegaard, but from the start I thought he had little chance to win this year. He should be quite proud to be competing as well as he is right now. Aside from Vingegaard recovering from injury, it's clear that UAE has the stronger team this year — especially in the mountains. Jorgenson is really strong, but they have to be missing Kuss right now.

    2. Well done UAE – great teamwork and support of Tadej, good strategy and commitment from the entire team, especially after losing Aryuso early on.

    3. Can somebody explain to me why does TDF authorities not do more to protect these incredible athletes.

The MORON with the green flare and the JERK who sprayed something in the face of Pogotar, I think it was stage 14.

It is just not good enough. The BS with the flag waving crowd in the path of the riders. A simple solution ban the followers, make restricted places until they can respect the riders.

Cheers to the riders for tolerating the DHs.

      🇦🇺👍🍺

    4. A few days ago Tadej tried another breakaway but Jonas caught him and out dueled Tadej to the line — looked like the advantage was shifting towards Jonas. Today Tadej tried another jump and this time it worked and with nearly two minutes on Jonas the tour is in Tadej's hands. It's still not over as there are days left in the mountains and minutes can change hands quickly in the mountains. At this point, however, I'd say Tadej has a 75% chance of winning with Jonas being about 25%, but again, this could change in the coming week.

    5. I think the strategy was mainly to force Jorgenson to pull so that Yates doesn’t creep up on Jonas too much (otherwise he’d become a much more serious threat in week 3). And if Jorgenson pulls, he won’t be able to follow Pogi when he attacks – so Jonas doesn’t have someone to bring him over and has to do it himself.

      Exactly what happened.

    6. Struggling to identify riders in the peloton in a pet peeve of mine as well. The numbers at the bottom of the jerseys are out of date. We need surnames at the tops of the jerseys like other sports.

    7. 💥I have each climb profile on my tablet as I watch each stage and I saw at 7.6km and 4.6km the final climb ramped up to over 12% so I KNEW Pogi would attack at 4.6km and that is the EXACT place he attacked!!! How was Jonas and Visma not ready for that😳?! I'm not a professional nor am I a sports director but I can predict PRECISELY where Pogi will attack on EVERY STAGE!!! I've NOT been wrong one single time. It blows my mind that Jonas and VISMA are not more prepared for these attacks. It's like they had no idea they are coming!!! They not only need to be prepared for these attacks but Jonas needs to attack FIRST so the only explanation for me is that Jonas isn't capable of going on the attack. He's just doing his best to minimize his losses!!!
As for Remco, I said he would NOT podium and he dropped a position in the overall today. He's now in 3rd. You would think he's pretty safe in 3rd because the 2 closest riders to him are 3m 39s and 3m 47s down on him but I think he is going to crack in the final week. Maybe even tomorrow so I stand by my prediction that Remco will NOT podium😉
      🤘🏻🇬🇧

    8. Superb counter punch from Poggie. Long way from over but always felt the strength of UAE was going to beat Visma this year. Poggie should sit back now and just react. Not in his DNA but needs to consider it.

    9. So Pogi SMASHED Lance Dopestrongs record on this climb by 2 whole mins🤔🤔🤔!!!! Is that what I'm hearing??
      🤘🏻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

    10. Tbh this year is clearly not jonas vingegaards year after the big big crash with jonas, but i must say that its impressive that jonas is in second place, and he had so hard with training.

But next year if jonas dont crash, and hes teamates isnt sick or dont crash then if u ask me then jonas will win tour de france 2025❤💪

And pogacar is very very strong this year and im proud of him too💪🔥

Hope u come stronger next year jonas

      Love from denmark❤❤

    11. I like your reporting, but you didn't mention it when Yates and Pogacar passed Healey. That was an important bit of information that you let slide. Fortunately, the video coverage showed the event happen, so those who were interested in it recognized when it happened. But if we hadn't seen it, we would all be wondering where Healy was, and when is Pogacar going to catch Healey.

    12. Well, i am a Vingegaard fan, but i have to admit that Tadej is at this Tour stronger. Yes Jonas had a crash few months ago and apparently it is still stuck at his head, nevertheless Tadej is just out of this world.

    13. Why doesn't the World Tour simply offer jersey colours on a first come first serve basis. You send your proposal, they say yes or no. You have until the start of the giro or you're going in brown.

    14. I'm a fan of Team Visma, and I don't want Pogacar to win, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen this time. I think UAE is looking as dominant in this Tour as Sky/Ineos were in their prime.

    15. Remember the days when we collectively weighed the merits of pedaling cadence as a race strategy? Yeah…I don't miss that either. Thank god for Tadej, Jonas, Remco, and Primoz (and others!) for lighting up bike racing with genuine passion and energy.
