Steady flat ride on mainly very quiet back roads through villages. Only last bit was on a busier state road. Saw some old school farming practices. Donkey still being used for cartage. Hay gathering by pitchforking onto trailer. Shkoder looks promising. First coffee & cake (the first real indulgence). Then Aperol & beer, then dinner at FishArt – grilled baby squid & whole sea bream. Stroll back down the main promenade street – coming to life on a Friday night. Lovely walking street and lots of people cycling & just out for a promenade. Creates a real vibe. All bars have their centre of the street strip of seating. Could people watch all day. Staying in a boutique hotel aptly called Promenade Hotel. The artist who makes masks for Venetian Carnivale (& for some famous people – Tom Cruise in a movie) apparently has his workshop nearby and sells his masks worldwide. Our Hotel is decorated with art showing images of the famous masks.
