I’ve been riding most of my life, but never been able to invest significantly in my passion hobby. Just riding a cheap bike, with minimal gear. Been slowly increasing my distances over the last year. For the past six months doing a weekly 60 mile ride, absolutely loving it, but at the same time slowly destroying my body with a very firm riding aluminum fixed gear — not at all forgiving on aging knees and nerves.

I am so excited to have my first real endurance road bike. I picked the Domane SL5 because of all the reviews mentioning how comfortable it is for longer distance rides. So far it has lived up to its reputation. This thing eats rough pavement like it’s nothing, I still can’t believe the difference. It’s going to open up so many more opportunities for growth and adventure. As soon as one ride is done I’m already planning the next.

Anyway, I don’t really know what to say to wrap this up, so I’ll just end with: we are lucky to have one of the best hobbies out there. Stay safe, and happy pedaling!
