hello fellow cycling fans to the preview of stage 16 of the tour def France 2024 this stage is on Tuesday following the rest day on Monday before we dive into the profile potential favorites Breakaway Riders weather and bookmakers odds don’t forget to subscribe to my channel so you never miss a preview of a ground Tour stage on my channel ever again hit the Subscribe button and notification Bell uh normally I would do a recap of Stage 15 before uh doing the preview of stage 16 but stage 16 is a clearcut sprinter stage a last day for a bun Sprint probably so 186 uh 88.6 kilm from grang to NE uh the whole route is pretty much flat we have an intermediate Sprint at around halfway mark at 96 km in latet then the only category climb of the day cut the fito 1.2 km at 5% and then the rest of the stage is pretty much flat as we can see here on the map we are going to the east we are heading to the Alps from the Pyrenees uh close to the coastline but never really reaching it since kilometer Z going around the city of M considering this is a sprinter stage it is always important to look at uh the potential winds and as we can see on Tuesday it will be really hot in South France some 33 degrees by the time uh the stage ends uh however the wind will will be 4 m/s so that is uh about 16 kilm per hour so I don’t think that this wind can actually create asons and we can see that it is from the Northwest so that means that it will be uh somewhat Tailwind for the most part of the stage especially near the finish and with every sprinted stage we need to look at the final couple of kilometers as we can see uh there is one roundabout just before uh 5 kilm Mark where uh our Riders will do a sharp left turn then after uh the 3 km Mark there is another roundabout with another leftand turn and two roundabouts in the last two uh k km but the road is pretty much flat and straight so that is good uh hopefully no crashes and if we look at the bookmakers odds we can see that they think that yasper philipson is once again the favorite he dominated last two sprints uh where he had a good lead out beanie gai of course always uh good option for a win in this year’s tour he has three wins already yasper philipson has to and uh another favorite for the bookmakers is V vanard of course he is printing really good but uh we just don’t know uh what kind of a day he is on is he going for the Sprint is he saving himself himself maybe for the mountains later in the race Dylan kunan pascar Akerman Mark kevish Arnold Dei always good options as the stage on Tuesday is the last chance for sprinters I don’t expect that the Breakaway can make it uh maybe someone from Uno X total energies ARA fdj can try uh bahin also they are having a horrible uh tour so far maybe they send moic or someone like that to try and create a bit of Chaos in The Paton but I still think that many teams like Alpin aana uh maybe even fisma want to see this uh as the Sprinter stage and I think it will be a bounce Sprint uh my pick will be yasper philipsson because it’s really hard to look past him before we uh look at the recap of Stage 15 tell me in the comments who do you think is your pick for the win on Tuesday in stage 16 so Stage 15 was a thriller it was such an exciting stage from kilometer zero I was glowed to the TV it was one hell of a stage team Vima uh wanted to try to go in a breakaway in the beginning with Jorgenson H then they uh pushed the fierce Tempo uh getting leaving Breakaway just 3 minutes in front for the most part of the valley and then they were hammering down with kelderman uh Yan tratnik TSH benot V van they threw everything they have at T pogacha in the end in the final 10 kilom VOR himself tried to push as hard as he can on the plateau de Bay final climb uh for 5 km he was uh literally burying himself and then once he couldn’t push it more he he even uh pointed to pogacha and asked him to uh go to the front but pogacha immediately attacked and crowned himself as the king in the Pyrenees what a season these guys having winning this uh hard stage with 1 minute and 8 seconds in front of vinger ramco pull oh almost 3 minutes down 2 minutes and 51 seconds mikanda great result for him for joal maida who was dropped pretty early from the favorites group uh managed to get himself back into fifth in front of Adam Yates Santiago Vago Carlos Rodriguez Richard carbas the best Rider from the Breakaway and Felix gal rounding up the top 10 Felix gal almost six minutes down for the sprinters it was a hell of a stage they fought really hard all TR it and most of them uh man manag to get within the time limit in the GC now we have a huge differences fater now with 3 minutes and 9 seconds in front of VOR rco evul 5 minutes and 19 seconds down and roal MAA in fourth more than 10 minutes behind 10 minutes 54 seconds Landa moves into fifth in front of Carlos Rodriguez Adam y Chone Derek G and buo rounding up the top 10 so buo overtakes Jorgenson and gal and is now in the top 10 so at least that is something for bahin victorious in the points classifications P GMA managed to bridge it to the Breakaway after the first climb and take 15 points at the mid Sprint uh initially he had 20 but he cut Michael Matthews so he was relegated to third position in that group he now has uh like 90 points in front of yasper philipson so bearing any major uh surprises I think beanie has this uh green jersey in the bag in the K pogacha extends his lead over wior and aen poool in the Y classifications uh rco extends his lead over Rodriguez and buitrago and in the teams classifications team yui continues to dominate almost one hour in front of Team Vima Lea bike who are now second thank you all for watching uh like this video if you like my comments about races don’t forget to subscribe have a great day and I hope to see you on Tuesday for the preview of another mountain in state stage 17 bye

    1. The only time Jasper is on the top of the table is when it comes to the most picked favorite winner before the race begins. We all know what the actual result is going to show after the race. Let's go Bini!!! 💚
