the 14th of July is France’s national day and a brilliant gift to the watching public most climbing of any stage in this tor France the second of a pyrenean double header a huge huge stage on the way to the plateau de B starting out in ludel 198 km with pachad having won the day before and wrestled back the momentum as it seemed to slip away a little earlier in the week to Yas Vore but again this traditionally was more Vore territory 4,900 M of climbing lots of classified climbs a couple of nasty unclassified ones too a finish an all category climb 15 km at 8% to Plateau Bay the first time the tour had ever visited this particular client to a finish was the last time that somebody was on their way to doing a Jeter tour double would Pacha be on the way again his main rival Vore was in the polka dot Jersey looking after it for the Slovenian star Fast and Furious from the off that’s what we expected full on full gas straight away Riders were going out the back trap door sprinters including Mark Cades knowing they would have a tough job to make the time limit ran B was attacking he wanted to be right up there as did David godu he take the early mountains points but with a descent coming up to Bard things could change again and they did a good Breakaway went away beum gay was in it and he was half more points in the king of the mountains competition he sprinted away ahead of Michael Matthews but despite winning the Sprint on the road at mahak he would then be relegated to the last third place in that particular group for an irregular move in the Breakaway ahead it was breaking up once more Richard kapaz made his way across and it was visma Lisa bike this time who were taking control to ride a quarter of the stage done the Gap at 130 and that continued a little later on with jungles sub and Henley up the road for a Red Bull Bor hand SC team looking to try and take a stage Victory behind visma continue to Chase and with 73 km to go a split in the Breakaway forced by jungles and soero not everybody have made it though Kapa is one of the big victims he couldn’t get there hindley pressed on on the penultimate climb of the day he had to do a job to get catap pass to the front and the yellow Jersey group well they were still led by visma at 3 minutes 40 Healey after doing his job left behind by kapaz the Olympic champion wanted to be a stage winning champion at the tour he reached Mass the plus and Henley but in the search for stage win they’d have another man in the mix getting on on the final descent before the last climb johanneson was there too five stars at the front 2 and a half minutes of a gap and they were on their way to the plateau de Bay by this point there was a real danger that the sprinters were going to be out of time 35 minutes back as they started the climb at the front and canaz was the first to attack the Gap though was down to less than 1 and 1 half minutes and the group was whittling down too em Mass gave it a go and Jorgenson by this point was riding strongly it was becoming clear that the stage was going to the GC group but what was left of that as vagor attacked inapo was dropped Pacha though sticking to the wheel of the two-time defending Champion Evol had said he was searching for the podium he was losing ground on the man in second place but could the man in second place overturn things trailing T pogacha at this point by 157 they were neck and neck on the road but then with just over 5 kilm to go Vore had been riding Pacha had been waiting Pacha would then pounce once again he’d ride away building an advantage and increasing his lead yonas Vore came into this off the back of no competition since March a nasty crash he shouldn’t have even been at the tour to France the fact he’s been competitive has been incredible that April Gad looking for that Jiro t double he crossed the line with another magnificent win the first man ever to do back-to- back Summit finish wins on two occasions in his career and he put more than a minute into yones Vu finishing almost three minutes down Remco iopo in the fight for the podium looking good on the podium looking a long way from the yellow Jersey and more than three minutes now the Gap from yellow to second place that ail gacha with six stages left in more than Pole Position it was perfect POG in the Pyrenees a third stage win of this tour and perhaps one that goes a good long way to sealing the deal there the results after a very very tough encounter in the mountains even to pull in knowing that he’s done a great job to save third place for now and this is how the GC looks he has over 5 minutes in third 309 back now is vagor and pachad in control the doubles on a double in the Pyrenees maybe another building block for the double worry for the time cut avoided by Cavendish he makes it into his final week of his final tour Bram Velton though didn’t quite make the cut the next stage 188.com is one where Crosswinds could come into it g to NE maybe a final opportunity for a Sprint finish that’s what looks like the tour resumes on Tuesday after its final rest day things have turned around before here but it’s looking pretty good for pgat at the moment you’ll be to catch the final six days of the tour on Eurosport and Discovery Plus

    1. Tadej is the best rider at this year’s TDF, after a long season of preparation, Jonas is the second best rider after a stint in ICU and two surgeries and six week training period.

    2. Visma thought, that hot day in mountains may be a little bit weakness for Tadej, but the last climb was absolutely amazing, Jonas did his best, but it was not enough. This day I will remember for long time, best day in world cycling I have ever seen. Big applause for Tadej, Jonas and Remco. They are superheroes.

    3. Man movistar sucks like enric mas aint a grand tour contendor it been showed time and time again when they gonna switch him he not evena 1 day he more of a domestique

    4. The boring Pogacar show pt. 15 … If nothing out of the ordinary is going to happen we all know already who's going to win the Tour

    5. Yes , Pogi did what he must ! After he was taking a peak at the dane and so that his rival is wasted he did what some of us would him to do : to show WHO"S THE REAL CHAMPION ! And he is ! After all , no one made vingegaard fall in that spanish race , he did it for himself and no one asked or forced him to be in the Tour . He keep saying that he has a chance to win this Tour and … waiting for Pogi to have a bad day !?! This is just hilarious ! I think we all saw and understand that Pogi is well prepared for this Tour and has more endurance and power than the dane . Only vingegaard couldn't understand this but … he is hoping that Pogi will have a bad day . What is this ? A professional vingegaard aproach of racing ? Or what ? How stupid he thinks Pogacar he is ? This kind of thinking will ruin vingegaard chances of winning anything from no on . What ? This is kind of magic , like in the Queen song ? With what team vingegaard will do something ? All of them crashed … all of them . Why ? For what ? Well, it seems that they are such good riders ! vingegaard , even now , can't ride without hands of his bike !?! And on the gravel … well … that was quite a show from him . Pogacar is a complete rider , riding on any kind of race , you name it : road, gravel , paved roads , a super puncher , maybe the best climber in the world , is very good in time trials and a decent sprinter . Having a bad day Pogi ? No one told him that it is not good to wish harm to another fellow man ? What is he hoping to happen to Pogi it will happen to him . vingegaard ddidn't learn anything from that crash . This is the way ! It's written ! Wait and see ! All the best to Pogacar and God speed for him and for his team ! Amin to that .
