hello all welcome to the first episode from our 4 week roadtrip to croatie searching world war two history and more!
in this episode Jolanda starts off with a bang and created her own battledamage, also we see the first bunkers and discover the first battledamage from the yugoslavia war

welcome everybody to the Rock Steady road trip from this summer bus in Yolanda going towards Croatia exploring World War II s side and other historical places that it has to offer we take you along this journey and hopefully you enjoy it and maybe even learn from it yes yes three more hours to go almost there it’s a long drive but we’ll get there looking forward to Austrian [Music] bear as you can see we’re almost there really looking forward to it beautiful mountains in the back one and a half more hours to go and then we can drink beer and if we’re lucky I believe Germany is playing football at 6 o00 we might be on time Yolanda probably doesn’t like it but I’m the driver today so I decide where we’re going to go and if there is a chance we’re going to drink beer with Austrian people watching German Football [Music] [Music] Captain [Music] Jack all first day holiday I’m loving it yeah bear yab boms happy [Music] [Music] man that was a fun first night as you can see thank you ala for directing me to my bed [ __ ] good hi everybody yes we in in Austria and apparently you’re allowed to say hi here this still use it I heard from my little brother first morning on this holiday trip little bit hangover we had a blast last night with my little brother at sports bar watching the football today going up in the mountains have some bike rides take a swim not much World War II yet but don’t worry [Music] your n up oh yeah doing the back R in Austria y y [Music] [Music] oh [Music] a [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] a [Music] oh [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] Andel landas ain’t that good but uh yeah as you can see it was really weird the trip took a nice swim here in fresh water and W red well that uh is enough romance for me to be honest we’re heading on our way back SK scaling down a mountain speeds were pretty decent at times even I had troubles with the breaking and if I have troubles with breaking I can tell you my lady has it too as you can see I guess at that speed y l also went down so how’s live Yanda Yola fell but she’s still smiling little bit thankfully she’s a strong woman and took it like a man so yo what happened um um [Music] sorry you went Biking For The First Time in like 15 years 15 years my friends always tell me I’m bad at biking so she should not drive a bike we didn’t anyway this is going to be a nice blue mark yeah yeah yep y to kab yes she’s going to be blue this holiday I’m starting the holiday with a bang so definitely oh baby no I’m okay yes thankfully sure a helmet that took a beating so all good just some uh outside battle damage yes yes well yes going to be some great bikini photos this holiday yes that’s for sure and wow we still have a beautiful view here so yeah we had a lot of things planned today going up on the mountain see some nice views but for now we’re going to Che a bit let uh yo recover I’m going to be fine yes and well yeah last day Austria tonight going to watch football Netherlands versus Turkey let’s see if we can beat the donut kups their asses put some garlic sauce over them and tomorrow morning we’ll be heading to Croatia to the Salty Sea where yo where wounds can heal a little bit some more footage of the beautiful Meer Hoven in Austria really worth the visit if you’re around now it’s time for some good food our by Queen so what you got [Music] y you got a nice n really Austrian or German how you call it I guess that’s a little bit the same my little brother had ugly monkey caspr knodle salad yeah vegetarian food the healthy man he’s the healthy man he makes wise choices I don’t but I’m going to fart from the meetings not anyway we’re going to enjoy our food with the lovely view on the mountain yeah really had a great time with my brother single ready to mingle [Applause] after a nice decent breakfast taking it C getting the gear back to the car prepare for the uh the long road trip towards Croatia and uh I’m gonna say thank you Austria and my little brother for the hospitality we will be back for [Music] sure yes yes this is it Austria last day today on the road to Croatia I think we have a 5 hour drive to go yeah 5 six and as you can see the weather it’s a perfect time to leave it CU it’s raining and we want the sunshine [Music] call yeah we we don’t have these views in the Netherlands it’s just epic I love it really cool yes Austria is beautiful we like it we’ll come back here for sure yeah but I don’t think we’re going to drive a bike then at least not Yolanda yes in the clouds it’s really funny yep Mountain Drive so yeah 510 kilomet to uh Rin Croatia theoretically we’re going to go there but we have nothing planned yet we got no camping no Hotel nothing so it’s going to be a bit of a surprise where we’re going to end up uh so yeah we’ll see worst case scenario we don’t find anything and we have to sleep in the van that’s why I made a camper out of it so we can always sleep wherever we want and uh we need to take a pee or a [ __ ] we’ll walk into the forest we’ll take a dump there although for uh women that’s in general a bit different than for men really a beautiful mountain ride going up really high through the clouds and we had a quick stop here for yeah I guess the most beautiful waterfall so far i’ seen in my life [Music] w [Music] oh [Music] he [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] a quick stop here enjoying the view and thinking what we’re going to do next because we did not have a place to sleep for this night yet nice just arrived renia Croatia think I like this place trip was good and I had a warm welcome here already got bit [ __ ] on my pants great birds are the same everywhere annoying but uh yeah renia renia we have nothing arrange so we’re going to search a campsite there hopefully uh along a beach where we can swim a bit install the tent and probably plan is stay here for 3 days yes three days three days something like that then we head out to split and hopefully of course we can find some bunkers here because uh two days without bunkers I’m getting a bit of a heart attack I need bunkers so hopefully we’ll find them here but first go to the campsite install everything see if we uh thought about everything to bring along yeah let’s see if they have a spot for us yeah then get dressed find a restaurant try the Croatian food Yo’s probably going to get some fish or something not me I don’t like fish stinks wow found a camping that was pretty easy thanks to the uh the how do you say it the uh ex colleague old colleague from yosa that we were here contacted us and said you know go to that camping it’s good and uh of course we want a spot next to the Sea cuz we like luxuary as I’m always uh Mr luxuary and they actually had one so within 5 minutes we have a great spot with SE View and we got a beach bar and the beach is there so we can get uh drunk uh swim really fast this is really nice so let’s install the camper and everything and a t what a man what a man what a man what a mighty good man having difficulties walking yo no why no I don’t know why so all set up Catia bloody epic nice stand [Applause] The Rock Steady van all rebuilt to a camper with everything we [Applause] need great view when we wake up could be worse so we’re in a beautiful rinia Croatia on our way to get some nice food and wow you know what do I come [Music] [Applause] across [Music] B definitely the most beautiful thing I’ve seen today besides Maybe Yolanda hi babe how you doing bu Croatian bear Croatian food is good I like it so first day uh first morning I can say on the Campsite in Croatia first days of the trip have passed and uh well we started the trip with the Banger I could tell you that first day Austria my little brother took us uh riding the bike on the mountains up there there electrical bikes we had some decent speed a little bit of cheating but uh else no way we could get up on the mountain of course going down is really easy you don’t have to do anything special you would say but uh yeah Yolanda did make it a little bit special as you might have seen on the socials she kind of crashed into the mountain yeah pretty heavy I was going downhill and I was just going way too fast and I tried to pump the brakes and it wasn’t happening I could feel it slip and slide and I went harder and harder so yeah I had like a few seconds like one two seconds to think about um okay how am I going to do this this is going very wrong brace yourself so I was uh screaming for help so the boys would know I was in trouble and we heard it me and my brother well we were a bit further down and suddenly we heard a scream and we both straight up knew what was wrong Yolanda crashed so you know as fast as we could we went back there and yeah it was going so fast and I had to think about okay I’m going to crash the what what’s the safest way to crash yeah but the the street was like gravel yeah as for and I heard the stories from his brother like uh people that fell that we have all the little the little stones in the wounds uh or scraping all off so I was like okay I see some bushes that’s going to be my place if I went straight there was a funil yeah like there was a curb and a bridge so she had the choice of uh either you know hitting the curb and the the protective Rail and going overboard going over it uh into the river 40 m down yeah or sliding down the asphalt or going into the bushes but behind the bushes was a mountain yeah you know you know how women are they look at it and they think oh it’s bushes no man it’s a bloody [ __ ] Stone Mountain no but it was I I still think this was the best option I also think that it saved uh it saved her ass yeah so I um drove into the bushes straight into the wall of the mountain you can pretty much say B bang to the m into the B Bank into the mountain like uh yep and then and then back the street threw me back on the street and I remembered oh keep rolling with it don’t brace yourself but roll with it do the do the killer roll I flew over the street but yeah I uh some bruises some Some Cuts yeah but thankfully that’s it I can say nice little blue Mark there but yeah um it’s um I was lucky yeah very lucky very lucky could have been worse that’s for sure I remember uh when I was rolling over the ground with the bike and stuff I banged my head on the stre on the street really hard and I remember at that moment I was so thankful for my helmet I forgot I was wearing the helmet and I was like and I was oh [ __ ] yeah helmet and I was wearing wearing a backpack and that’s scraped off so that protected my back so a batt so now we have a battle damaged backpack I can tell you that so yeah I’m uh I’m okay but it was quite a adventure it was a hard crash yeah yeah yeah and then we had to go it was like at the beginning of the hill so we had to go um we still had a long way to go down to the Village uh yeah and thankfully uh I must say I’m a little bit proud of her cuz she was really strong did a cry nothing got up and we washed the wounds there and uh there was a nice little Mountain Water thingy Fountain next to it so we washed everything and uh she was able to get herself down the mountain alone and uh you know we had a good day we had a good day we were glad we did it but yeah Yanda on the bike it’s not the best thing you want to try out no and uh yeah thankfully for the protective care so really people if you’re going to do crazy [ __ ] wear your protective gear because you know it can go wrong and it can save your ass that’s for sure you might look like an idiot although I thought she look kind of cute with the helmet but uh yeah it saved her ass so very much it it was going so so fast so fast yeah even I had it when I was going down it was at the same part and I was before your L and I was going down I’m like you know um I can I’m a man I can handle a bit more adrenaline and stuff like that but even I was like okay I really need to break harder cuz this is going too fast you know and uh yeah so yeah that was day one of our holiday day one of the trip started it with a banger and uh now you can will see me in the videos or the photos uh all bruised all bruised up now you know why y it looks worse than it is so uh yeah I’m going to be okay sexy look y through put your ha in my mouth [ __ ] my life [Music] where’s cooktail oh enjoying the great view watching the sun go down with Yolanda and what do we have here Yolanda it’s a romantic bunker bunker h [Music] [Music] just feel [Music] [Music] here we have a big Canon it’s almost the same size as my dick yeah wow you can see lovely cation food we’re at the same restaurant where we were yesterday cuz it was just good and uh we we had requested some some local food yesterday so they provided us with some uh I forgot the name palenta palenta maybe my Croatian friends probably know it epic Penta what Penta yeah oh you got the p and paprika sauce thing yeah something like that really tasty so uh enjoying life here in Croatia and the hospitality lovely people and well dinner with a few which is great getting gifts from the restaurant this is a estrian Croatian rocki isri is a certain part of Croatia uh we did not have a plan on going here but I saw so many cool things on Google Maps and bunkers we decided to go there and we have a very bad memory with Rocky and Greece to be honest they always try to feed you drunk with it and really if you smell the rocki and Creed it’s going to make you puke so when we got this we were really afraid it would be toally bogus and but it was actually quite good add some honey to it and what was it again yo lemon juice lemon juice so after last night’s try out we can handle some more so I’m going to say Pros guys to a nice trip and uh yeah we hope you have a laugh on the videos yeah it’s quite sweet and I don’t have to puke still a little bit disgusting of course cuz it’s pretty strong but drown it down with a beer I know I might sometimes look like an alcoholic on the videos but trust me it’s not that bad instant holiday feelings in renia great start great food lovely Croatian people you really feel welcome here but it was already time to move on well back in the van again going on the road today towards the beautiful waterfalls it’s probably 3 and 1 half hours drive the Pichi waterfalls and also we got Tito’s summer residence over there so really excited for that one and we’ll be making our way towards split and I said we’re going to stop at newa it’s else it’s will be a 6-hour drive and I don’t feel like driving 6 hours right now so we’ll make a stop in the middle and then uh with end destination split where we’re going to meet up with a friend of us for a dance Tren festival with some big DJs Hardwell do you know some more names babe Martin Garrick Martin Garrick re I don’t know a lot of these Dutch guys who are really famous I hardly know them they’re music either but good people good atmosphere nice drink good weather can’t complain but first we’re going to check out some waterfalls and uh well we’re just going to stuff everything in the car because tonight we’ll be sleeping at an unknown place yet we’ll still have to find the camping so I don’t want to have too much work for just one night of sleep somewhere so yeah let’s go a lot of the plans we made got adjusted last minute because we saw some beautiful things we did not want to miss out on our way towards the waterfalls we were driving uh across the country side from Croatia and to our surprise the wi history was not far far away Balan Country Side so had to make a quick stop have a look at some old [Music] buildings really uh ban style I like it I think it’s an old train station or something on route now to the waterfalls and we really go through all the small villages and abandoned buildings like this and I wasn’t sure but I thought I saw like bullet holes on certain buildings not sure if it was from fighting from the Yugoslavian [Applause] War but uh old abandoned stuff from a Time long long long [Music] ago oh actually the sign is pretty new but uh I think this is from the from the local bus sto in here no more train stopping what sh yeah funny think Zoran was there [Applause] I love the old [Music] stuff cuz yeah during the Yugoslavia times a lot happened in these areas course former Yugoslavia on the Tito we’re still going to Tito’s summer house it’s close to the waterfalls where we go and uh if I recall my history lessons well after Tito died Yugoslavia kind of collapsed had all the small countries who wanted to be independent and uh yeah some terrible things happened war broke out up here it’s not that long ago actually um besides Ukraine I think that’s the most recent War we had in Europe with massacres on both sides um so we’ll see if we can still give you some information on that and if we can find some traces from that war during our trip as we’re also going to De brnik later on meet up with a friend and for sure de bruck during the Yugoslavia war was besieged and bombed actually so we’ll see if we can find some traces from the war the recent war and well I got an eye for battle Dam driving past this house I had to stop yeah here one of these examples from like abandoned houses and I’m not sure if that’s like battle damage because during the War I do not think that over here was specifically fighting for example we’re in the Croatian part now and a lot of Serbian people or Bosnian with ethnicity they live here too and well neighbors kind of from one day to another were enemies so they had to leave their houses behind pack their gear and that went on on both sides in all these countries now countries like Slovenia Croatia Bosnia Montenegro Albania Kosovo and yeah you really see that and I’m from constructions and I find this awkward this damage on the uh on the buildings um so yeah fine example of one of the many abandoned buildings here you come across many of them completely destroyed and uh it’s a strange world compared to the Netherlands uh driving around here so let’s continue and see what uh else we find and driving into this Village we realized it was indeed battle damage so we decided to take a stop here have a look around all that you can see in our next episode thank you for watching
