Dave tries Papa Gino’s, a staple of both his childhood and New England. But will it be as good as he remembers?

  1. You ever have a papa Gino's birthday party when you were a kid dude? They let you make your own pizza from tossing the pie to finish. Then pin the tail on the donkey with the old school jukebox playing Kokomo by the beach boy's. Or anything little richard… hot waitresses, in the prime of my orgasmic stage. Fuck dude, buy the chain. Keep it the way it is. It's just one of those things that you remember for life. But bring back the salad bar with the motherfucking best ambrosia ever

  2. Nothing better than a couple slices and a pitcher of soda while searching thru the mini juke box at a papa ginos booth. 100% need to go well done though.

  3. Just saying I work for papa Gino’s and my pizza would simply be better. That one was too light and had a lil more flop than mine. Looked like they barely mixed the seasoning in the cheese

  4. I moved from MA to FL as a kid and wanted Papa Ginos anytime I went back to visit. My cousins and uncles up there would make fun of me bc they preferred Cape Cod Pizza. But, I'll always have the Papa Gs nostalgia in my head. Dave mentioned them as well, my mom would always go straight to Dangelos subs. And we'd also grab some Jax cheese puffs because they don't exist down here.

  5. In 1993 they had a full page ad in the Boston Globe for a free large cheese pizza (with an expiration date for the coupon). Fortunately, we had white-out and a copier at my office.

  6. Agree with the woman commenting – consistency is not always there for "the Ginos" but when it's good it's very good. Stachey's in Salem NH should be on everyone short list.
