Raleigh Choppers London at Ace Cafe a collection of old original and new Raleigh Choppers some originally made for America and some for UK.

There was one who dressed as Mod bicycle that looked really cool.

Also there in attendance was an engineer from the Raleigh Choppers design team. Jolly nice chap who was able to talk you through the differences and changes on different bicycles.

The Raleigh factory in Nottingham was on hit when it made this unique style. The ape hanger handle bars, the long seat, and stick shift transmission.

The seat height is adjustable and can accommodate junior or a proper adult. There are a number of variants but all seem to be very true to the original design brief.

I expect the more recent manufactured models are probably lighter in gross weight. They all old or new looked jolly nice.

While I was looking around and had the lovely design team engineer explaining the unique differences from bicycle to another. There was a nice happy vibe among the owners. Which puts the bicycle on my list of things to find out more about I have acquired a America beach coaster style bike which i have every intention of using one day. But at best I describe it as a down hill bike.
