I wouldn’t say lack of balls I would just say riding smart I was not expecting that the gravel would be so much grally was really a lot of uh rocks and sand so it was really difficult to ride on I was feeling comfortable on the gravel uh sectors T attacked I attacked myself and that I attacked again but I was always there I was watching rco he was watching me we could go together and uh but uh uh the race could have been decided with about 80 km to go already unfortunately Yas decided to not ride with us it’s a bit of their tactics our main focus was not to lose time and yeah we succeeded in that in in our tactics maybe people don’t understand it but that’s that’s their problem bium come on two stage wins for the green jersey in the tour a perfect lead vam gar yasper Phillipson I think the team did a really good job as well again but yeah it’s a Pity we just missed the win first week was another best we keep fighting for stage win but we still have two weeks to try and shine and uh we start the day the second week of the tour kicks off with a Sprint stage where the wind the Heat and the threat of rainstorms could cause a bit of chaos late in the day [Music] [Applause] [Music] there was a leisurely start though with no attacks no Breakaway and one a very relaxed looking ptin and for now there’s no stress with wind or anything too technical okay so I’ll leave you a bit alone on the radio cuz after it’s going to be an intense final possibly okay but anything special I will let you know it wasn’t until the intermediate Sprint after nearly 60k that things began to liven up van hooker van Hills and Goen opening up a small Gap although van Hills quickly dropped back as the green jersey contenders prepared for their first Skirmish the matu vaner moving up with Asa philipsson bam gay is up there on the wheel so is on OD Demar in the gray on the left hand side it’s philipsson gay trying to get through oh philipsson closes the door as he looks around on gay philipson takes the 13 but gai not too far behind the Riders at the front soon sat up and the pelan was all back together again and as we already thought all the teams will be nervous so they will directag race to there and for sure one team will try but for the moment yeah the wind is not really really strong apart from a few showers there was no real rain to speak of but with the round 50k to go UAE team Emirates and Vima Lisa bike tried to see if they could force a split these exposed plans were ideal for echelons but the wind simply wasn’t strong enough things calming down again as the bunch continued to wind their way towards Santa M [Music] wrong on the right hand side stopped B the feed Zone should already be together then down there the stress will be going higher and higher let’s be in front of the facts through that town okay sit together Stay Together tight all day and keep focusing on communication guys come on make sure we uh find each other again now now is the moment we come all together time for the Sprint teams to put those morning briefings into action as they hit the front of the race 2.2 km of racing to go aiman May well be just a little bit too close to the front but his team are doing a wonderful job the team of Arnold Dee move up there’s Pacha with vard as they are a little bit further back the sprinters are all at the front gaps are kind of opening up but it doesn’t really matter cuz none of the contenders are up here at the front now it’s all about the sprinters as St get ready Nico 1700 me to go and here comes the alasin train and here comes the Alpin truck and marov has realize that Mar Cades is not on the wheel there he is but it’s too late he’s missed his turn wasn’t on the wheel of his teammates but Al in the Kik train in line now and it looks like it’s going to be mat of Wonder thepool but once again Kristoff is going it looks like Kristoff is going to try and lean laort is going to try and lead out rard on the left one kilometer of racing to go Cavendish has kind of been washed away here not following his lead out train at all into the turn and it is on the front still Al to kernick leaport is there looking out for w vanard who’s on the wheel of yasper philipsson they make this turn wow really leaning the bike over into that turn and this is on the front the lead out train now of yasper Phillipson can Phillipson find finally win at stage in this year’s tour to France his team have done an amazing job today 4 hours and 19 minutes here goes Matthew Vanderpool philipson is on the wheel and philipson is kind of struggling to be on the wheel of Vanderpool right now Gia moves up Matthew Vanderpool fires philipson now goes can yasper philipsson now winner stage of the tour this year we as for Phillipson there’s going to be no doubt philipsson take the win he’s been looking for yasper philipson has finally got off the mark you have it you have your your stage win is it really I think uh you can say it like that big relief we can finally show our strength together with the lead out train I think here we did fin what we came for I’m really happy we can start the second week with a win after two second places and a relegation philipson finally has his first win of this tour his seventh in total yay and aaman second and third a straightforward start to the second week for Pacha who finished safely in the bunch the GC battle won’t resume in Earnest until this weekend but the fight for green is Raging gay still leads philipson by 74 points with abrahamson a distant third the Norwegian still leads the mountains classification as he has done since the start of the tour with six climbs on the menu tomorrow and Evan AOL still holds the white jersey by a minute and 43 seconds from pacha’s teammates aay Uso

    1. Incredible lead out for Philipsen. His team really handed that one to him on a platter, and he did his bit well. Thankfully without controversy.

    2. I didn’t watch Netflix season 2 yet but it seems like Jasper is a villain there. There must be a reason, but I like a redemption arc and wish Jasper to clear his name from now on.

    3. Having the better bike, technically better financed team, better team members, Jasper enjoying his Christmas in July. He almost caught Biniam's wheel in the intermediate sprint and NOT EVEN ONE mentioned it. Within the next sprint races for sure Jasper will cause some trouble again. one lucky asshole.

    4. que pasaria si hay una bonificacion de tiempo para el equipo de quien llegue primero? es aburrido no ver competir a los de la clasificacion general estos dias

    5. Remco does not understand that Vingegaard also safed him from loosing time! It had been risky for all 3, because if one of them had have a puncture, what can happen every time on gravel, that guy would have lost minutes because no team mates to help. but even without a mechanical would 'Pogacar have dropped both of them on the last gravel sektor. Vingegaard did the exact right thing

    6. With the intent to injure other cyclists without regard and penalty, it's no wonder no one dares to ride side with him. At the fence you don't see Jasper crashing into the fences with a "habitual" side swerves so go figure that one out.

    8. That was so worth the watch to see a great Alpecin-Deceuninck lead out train, with MvDP sending Phillipsen right off the gun.

    9. I have never seen such a dirty sprinter like Jusper Fearpsen that he clearly blocks Bini in intermidiate spirint. This shows that he cant beat Bini in a clear sprint.

    10. can someone explain to me why pog and remco are not happy with jonas. If they decide to go, and he doesn't want to, what stops them from leaving him? Why are they waiting for him?

    11. Is Girmay capable.of finiahing the tour with all the big climbs coming in the next two weeks? Is he a decent climber to get the green jersey to the last stage?
Because points wise is his for sure ,nothing that Philipsen can do now to take it from Girmay.
