Burton To Hopwas Woods With 118, Via Trent & Mersey C, Birmingham & Fazeley C & Coventry Canal.

Hello everyone, another great local Staffordshire easy ride out with my friend Chris(118) from Burton out to Hopwas Woods mainly following along canal paths with a few sections of road for a total of just over 34 miles. It was a bit of a mission as you can see from the video on certain sections of the canals that have really overgrown!

[Music] hello everybody Welcome to the channel today is another fantastic 35 mile ride something a little bit different with my friend Christopher Mr 118118 uh starting his house in Burton and we’ll be following the load of canals all the way down uh the Trenton Mery leading on to the Birmingham fasley and centry all the way down to hop West Woods um not far from Tamworth it’s generally an out and back on roads cycleways along the now round the wood and then back again the same way we came as always boys and girls there’ll be a link to my kute map of the route the description below enjoy we will Christopher oh yes there he is see you in a bit then boys and girls let the fun begin with Mr 118 still recovering from a broken rib so this is an easy Road SL Canal flat ride nothing too exciting so he don’t hurt himself oh in my own own little world and I just completely forgot no you sure yes oh can you yes oh will show me then cuz I did look at that but you can’t see on Google Earth or my map so I’ve just gone to the end of that road and then come out and go onto the canal all right okay I just could not work out so we need to get up to the canal okay jolly good oh Chris have we ever play on the swings I’ll beat you to the top of the climbing wall Bron Village yeah cool yeah this is where we need to be so we were going to be just coming on just a little bit up there couple of diversions already Christopher I love it [Applause] very nice I was lucky yesterday I only had one little two minute of drizzle like this and that was it the whole time the sun was out you know it was still quite overcast and gray but it was so freaking warm it was Unreal I was sweating me tits off I’ve got my sleeves pulled up so I don’t like these stingers see even in eco mode these motors are powerful you just have to really change into an easy gear hey you what yeah yeah yeah I don’t know about the Woodland that we’re going to cuz it’s on a bit of a slanty hill I think wow this is fun alive isn’t it isn’t this fun alive eight eight all right oh bit bit of clearage bit of clearage don’t go in the canal all we eat now ring Sharon Chris is in the canal oh dear fun Al keep your hands on you keep your hands on you handle bars oh you ain’t got full hand gloves on have you don’t fall in the canal oh [Applause] dear W oh mine your head on branches I just whack mine go did you hear that yeah that was my head you all right Chris hey yeah yeah good good good just making sure you’re right oky CI big step yeah yes that’s nice along here is it ‘s your rib yeah up and over to the left and then after you’ve gone over the bridge turn right we got to go there we turning right so uh AL West do a bit of cross country this used to be a road Chris nice little shortcut just saves going round and round in circles for no reason yeah that’s why it was originally closed that bit there look after your uh this might have to go over it that’s it just pedal be all [Applause] right used to get back yeah I I went home early on Friday oh did you yeah I went at 7 come on I’ve done Monday to Thursday see a lot of them to yeah oh hey should we have a minute yeah cuz me actually no it’s not that bridge it’s the next one see so the flag’s not up we’re okay so that’s where we’ll be coming back from that way like by Chris oh that’s nice being back in auto you watch our batteries go down really quickly [Applause] when the D rules and regulations read boys and girls my God that was the longest list I’ve ever read oh yeah they’re everywhere look on Google Earth you could see them all oh we are right here look wow any PS no they’re all big no pnets no they’re big boys I should be going straight this way according to the map I do believe cheers thank you oh it’s nice there Christopher you still with yeah do you want to take the lead another tree go there ha haa this is a lovely word isn’t it [Laughter] did we go past any benches down there when we was coming along this bit CU I can’t remember oh what you want you go down there half mile oh see what we see that was quite good in there wasn’t it and you and your chain never came off once did it no see so have a difference that bloody thing makes yeah um what that bit in there made a bit more interesting is it as well yeah the RO like yeah exactly so this was the end point coming to here around there and then back freaking Nora brambles me I’m off oh yo yo yo wow that was fun wasn’t it oh Michel how are you h
