is Poland planning on standing up a Ukrainian Brigade in Poland but is this enough to stop the Russian offensive I’m Paul US Army Combat veteran let’s talk about it okay this is really interesting actually let’s see if we can get the Google translate here to do its thing this is from a Polish news source and this is reporting that please stop uh this is reporting that the Ukrainian uh president has met with uh polish prime minister Donald Tusk and the politicians signed an extensive Ukrainian polish security agreement this involves protection not just for critical infrastructure civil defense intelligence and cyber security but it actually calls for the standing up uh of and training of a Ukrainian Legion within Poland this is a volunteer Legion that which would enable Ukrainian citizens or dual citizens in Poland to take part in the defense of Ukraine the Ukrainian Legion would be trained in Poland equipped and armed by Poland every Ukrainian citizen that wants to join the legion will of course be contracted with the Ukrainian Armed Forces now this itself is an unusual step right and this is likely part of a larger Ukrainian effort to gather more manpower particularly among people who have fled Ukraine to escape the war and a lot of them are still in Poland right that simply makes sense Poland is the a country the one of the largest uh borders that borders Ukraine most extensively and so the hope is that by offering them hey it’s going to be a unit trained by the much more professional polish military equipped by the poles that it’s going to be a more professional formation it will also likely be um uh seen as a bit more um a bit safer than becoming a regular Ukrainian conscript and that is what a lot of Ukrainian soldiers according to a number of interviews have said that they’re worried about or Ukrainian men they say listen I don’t want to serve in a unit uh that is like a conscript unit I don’t want to serve with other conscripts who don’t want to be there who may be far less motivated um you know I’d rather serve in a unit with volunteers who are skilled and capable and so for Poland to sit there and go okay we’re going to create this unit it’s volunteer it’s highly trained it’s very capable it’s going to be properly equipped you won’t have to worry about any of that right and then the unit wholesale can go to Ukraine and fight and serve together that is a world of difference uh and one of the things that’s it kind of hearkens back actually to the US military’s World War II replacement policy in which case you would have units who would enlist together train together go overseas together but then when individuals were wounded they would cycle back to a medical establishment and then they would enter a Depot and that Depot would simply say okay what are you you’re a mechanic all right we’re not going to send you back to your old unit we’re going to send you to any unit that needs a new mechanic right and so the result would be that these guys who had served again for months sometimes years together would be dropped into a unit that everyone else had been together for years and they hadn’t right and it was so bad that a lot of desertions that happened in the US military in the World War were not actually desertions to try to get out of the fighting they were deserters who tried to get back to their original unit and serve with their original soldiers and so again that’s why I think this is such an interesting program because it reflects a reality that soldiers certainly sign up to defend their country uh but they stick around for each other um it’s one of the things when they talk in interviews with uh even soldiers who served in place like Iraq and Afghanistan right when you climb into that vehicle you’re not thinking about you know baseball and apple pie you’re climbing into that vehicle because your battle buddies need you and if you don’t if you make a stink about it they’re going to go into the fight shorthanded they’re they’re going to be a little less effective a little less capable a little less ready and your obligation to them on a deeply personal basis is what keeps you in the fight so that I thought was a really interesting perspective and I want to talk a little a little bit about some updates around vens and more importantly the aod Special Forces but we before we talk One Is War mappers reporting that Ukraine is actually extensively retaken positions in and around volens you could see here is the volens area where where reportedly uh Ukraine has recently retaken Ukraine adops and raise money for another unit uh here in the next maybe month or so we’re still working out the details but here’s what I thought was even more interesting right is that the akod Special Forces these are the chin right seems like a mill blogger right talks some on them criticizing the OT forces uh saying that they were quote standing behind conscripts in Belo right this is in the vchs region and now what’s fascinating is isw says that oh he was insinuating that the chin forces are not contributing to Russian offensive operations around harkee when I hear that as we talked about I hear him saying no okma forces are standing behind the conscripts because they are blocking units because they are tasked with shooting conscripts who attempt to flee combat and we know that makes sense because one the casualties in and around harke and vens are unbelievably High scary high and you can imagine if you’re a Russian conscript or uh sorry contract soldier that you’re going to figure this out and you’re going to want to turn around OT forces are perfect for barrier units because they’re simply culturally distinct they don’t see they don’t have as much common identification with Russian conscripts right and so because of that less likely to protest when they’re ordered to uh shoot them for abandoning their duty to do their one-way charges sounds all it all sounds correct but apparently the aont Special Forces guys did not take kindly to having talked about them on the internet in fact they tracked the guy down and then in a video with the aont commander uh the mill blogger said I’m so sorry oh you guys are totally on the front lines you’re totally fighting uh and that he you know while Russia Uh Russian military command has incurred significant losses and no progress around vens um he still managed he still just said I’m so sorry to the AKA forces now you guys know the cants don’t play around and again if they’re willing to shoot Russian conscripts they’ll definitely shoot a mill blogger so when they show up at your doorstep and demand an apology it’s just the right call to do it anyway guys that’s all I had for you a huge thank you to the In Europe, especially central and eastern Europe, such solutions are common.
Seems like a half step towards nato members sending significant numbers of troops to Ukraine, especially if they’re dual citizenship.
I see a lot of steps towards NATO nations becoming more directly involved using baby steps to judge putin’s responses, with the ultimate goal seeming to be to desensitize putin to western involvement to the point the west begins setting up a no fly zone against russia, or moving troops into western Ukraine to relieve Ukrainian troops at the bare minimum.
Respect to Paul, He is spot on in that, You care about the people you are with ,trained with and shared good and bad together. My detachment was assigned to a new geographical area, thus a new command in the middle of OEF OIF. It sucked not knowing or training with this new unit.Knowing deployments were on the way. Add We came out of rotation to be added to the rotation 3 months after the the last deployment.

Another game changer joke from the West against Russia
No one will win this war, I will explain why the Russian Federation is no longer able to completely occupy all the lands of Ukraine. The offensive of Russian troops will stop and will not go any further, why do I know this? Please see, the basic offensive force in the attack is tanks and infantry, but currently tanks in the Russian Federation are… 🙁 it's already bad now and it will only get worse and worse… As they are currently using tanks from the 1960s. New tanks as the Kremlin propaganda cartoons said, they produce 100 tanks a month, but in fact they produce 22 pieces a month. So they have recently been attacking with trucks and motorcycles. The second thing is that even those tanks that they want to restore to real operation, it turns out how many elements are missing , corruption on a huge scale, even if 100 tanks can be sensibly collected into 30 tanks that are quite functional and quite complete, it is known that they poured 100% of the fuel into the popes, which is the norm, they did not replace the diesel oil for the engine because they stole it and one could mention the problems of the army of the Russian Federation. Tank shells modified to prevent them from exploding into the target are the next thieves from the army of the Russian Federation. However, the advantage is in tanks delivered from Western Europe and the USA, which is important, they have an advantage in accuracy technology, but not only that. . I honestly don't think Russia would actually invade NATO if they are already losing the war in ukraine… it's going on for 2 years and they already are running out of supplies so? I pretty much think Ukraine is gonna win this if Russia will actually give up but, China or Iran could still give military supplies to Russia, it's so complicated to predict which side is gonna win but i hope the winner is going to be Ukraine🇺🇦
Complete nonsense. All real MEN are already serving. There is no lack of volunteer units to join for anyone that actually want to serve. All the cowards hiding abroad will forever be seen as second grade "men" once they return after the war pretending like nothing happened. I am actually surprised that more of Ukraine's regional neighbours, or even Finland, have not already put together volunteer regiments. It makes sense in providing support more directly, in providing manpower, improving co-operation, and reducing stress on Ukrainian troops to cover every square inch. It ALSO provides valuable direct combat experience for their military.
Many Poles have been ended by russians. They know they would be next on potins list and they don't want that to happen again.
