Posting on X, the footballer said the gesture he made after scoring a goal was “an inside joke” towards some close friends who were at the game.

I can’t believe UEFA didn’t act before the quarterfinal. He should absolutely be banned for the semifinal and final at a minimum. I personally think he should be banned for for the 2026 World Cup as well, but I doubt that will happen. Conduct like this has no place in sport. It should be punished in the most severe way possible.
