Quedlinburg is a small German town with about 24,000 people in the state of Saxony-Anhalt. The town was founded in the 9th century and has a lot of history making it attractive for tourists in the area.
The main attraction is Quedlinburg Castle, now a museum with old architecture. We start our walking tour in the Old Town which is a UNESCO site. . The town has many with old, half-timbered houses.
St. Nikolai Church is another must-see. Local lore talks about the Quedlinburg Treasure, a collection of old church items.
In our circles around the Old Town we see plenty of Quedlinburg, before we end our tour at the starting point.

Quedlinburg gehört zu den schönsten Städten in Deutschland – was viele nicht wissen. Die ganze Gegend ist märchenhaft schön, sowohl landschaftlich als auch architektonisch. Ebenso sehenswert sind Wernigerode, Halberstadt (trotz massiver Kriegszerstörungen), Stolberg, Goslar, Wolfenbüttel u. a.. Man muss nicht immer nur ins Ausland reisen, wenn man was Schönes sehen will!

Das ist wirklich eine sehr schöne Altstadt. Für Fachwerkhaus-Fans eigentlich so gut wie ein Muss. UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe.

Diese Stadt hat es zu Weltruhm gebracht im Coronajahr 2021 im Advent und seinen 2G- Regeln, nie wieder Quedlinburg, ein Zaun für Ungeimpfte, diese Stadt ist einfach nur Pfui. Nie wieder Weihnachtsmarkt dort, nie wieder diese Stadt.
