First bike I’m working on and as you can see I need to replace the bottom bracket. I’m having issues removing the drive side with the keyed tool and want to make sure that it is indeed supposed to be right hand threads before I do any damage.

I bought a Shimano Altus BBUN100B23X to replace it but need to wait for it to ship from uk to canada.

Drive side is reverse thread. Nds is regular thread.
