[Music] welcome to the athletic Brewing post race report right here another thrilling Iron Man Pro Series race today so let’s take a look at the men’s and women’s highlights from today’s action of the IR man 70.3 lers Deon voni so in our men’s race we got underway here on time this morning this is the bay abis and also on the grand Plage right now into the Atlantic Ocean they go Joe off to a good start yeah that was a frantic start with that beach run of about 70 M or so into the water but straight away they uh managed to clear out very very quickly with the South African caned just getting underway he is out about 10 m ahead of everybody else in the swim ran very very fast up into the transition area he did find himself in the lead early on in the bike but that would change because a fast and furious flying and the world championship slot collector that was Yuri kulin from the Netherlands underway there then we had a bike ride out there it was fast yeah it was fast and furious and look the the men’s space wouldn’t split up really till the last sort of kilometers of the bike where Rico Bogen managed to get a small Gap leading into transition and seemed to uh feel pretty good and put the pressure on early on the run and seemed to run away from from everyone pretty easily and then things changed pretty quickly yeah to the 200 M on the sand it really got into the legs of Bogen the 22-year-old German it was Nicholas man another German that got the job done today with a very very fast 111 run here on the 13 Mi or the 21 km out there Yuri kulan picks up the silver medal in second position and in third across the line it was the Frenchman clemont mol and that was the way it ended up for our men out there today so let’s go over and take a look at our women’s Pro Race recap as the men did get underway with a 70 M run into the swim here into the Atlantic Ocean didn’t take long for Pamela Olivera from Brazil to get her swim arms and legs into action there Joe no it didn’t at all uh she was straight into a really brisk pace and uh really put the pressure on early but still unable to shake uh these strong women and ended up exiting with five other women very very close behind out on the bike ride they would go and this was a great ride early on by Carol and Paul here of Germany she was the early Pace set b r about 20 km into it we had a fast moving and charging Kate C from the UK and it was just a matter of time before we saw Laura Manson the 21y old Phenom especially on the bike get to the front yeah know she was very calculated in her approach and really Rod strongly over the back end to end up uh dismounting her bike into T2 with a small lead over the reigning champion from France Charlene clel would hang on the shoulder of Laura Madson for quite some time but it was a fast charging Nikki Bartlet from the UK that really used a lot of energy in that first lap and it was probably a little bit too much as Laura Manson went on to take the first of her Iron Man Pro Series victories at 21 years old and what a day it was picking up the gold medal in first place Nikki Bartlett would just falter just a little bit on the second part of the run there picking up second place and another UK athlete that was Kate Cen in third okay now it’s time to look at our women’s results today Laura mson gets the job done full 2500 points and Nikki Bartlett and Kate car and their Joe great Race by the UK athletes yeah Char and cell still came around with 2347 points and Caroline Paul the German still uh with a lot of points from today’s race and let’s take a look at our female Pro standings right now so the Iron Man Pro Series standings for 2024 we got mayor stage neelson going up into first place Kylie Simpson down one and there is finel langri Jackie Herring all the way down to Danielle Lewis so let’s go over and take a look at our men’s results of today’s action Nicholas Mann gets the job done at 2500 points Yuri kulan solidifies his day in Lake Topo picking up a spot there and second place clemont Minon rounded out the podium yeah with Rico Bogen uh holding on to fourth place and yonas vogle as well coming away with 2380 points from from today’s effort and our male Pro standings right now for 2024 we’ve had a little bit of a change in the order here Matt Hansen Still Remains at the top of things but it was Paul Schuster that went up eight spots into fourth place clemont minan up 18 spots into eighth with 7,092 points this has been the athletic Brewing post race report the next Iron Man pro series broadcast is on Sunday July 14th I’m man Victoria gestair watch live for free at ProSeries ironman.com outside TV to Zone and Le keep live that has been the athletic Brewing post race report until next time we’ll see you then [Music]
