hello everyone and welcome to another Stage Preview here of the 2024 tour France on the cycling day exit Channel and if you are new here why not hit the like button and subscribe to the channel stage six of the 2024 Tor France offers a change of pace as the peleton cruises through the pctures Landscapes of burgundy this 163.5 km stage starting from the Charming town of maon promises a thrilling Showdown for the sprinters yet again maon nestled along the banks of the T river is no stranger to the Toral France having hosted stage starts seven times previously however the last time the Pelon rolled out of makun was in 2019 where we saw the Victor being none other than Thomas the Gent this year however the stage of tailor made for the fast men of the pelaton the route is virtually flat with a total elevation gain of just 1,000 M over the entire stage this lack of significant climbs ensures a highspeed Chase toward towards the Finish Line in Dijon Additionally the final 800 M boast a dead straight road offering a dream scenario for the sprinters and their lead out trains to unleash their raw power and tactical prowess djon the finishing Town last witnessed at to front stage finished way back in 1997 that stage provided a dramatic finale with a two man Sprint between Bart Vos Camp who outgunned Yan hemper but both were were relegated and the winner of this peleton Sprint was Mario Travon who was declared the winner on the day and this was in fact the biggest win he took in his entire career and very unexpected the Riders when they set off will already have a capat forward to deal with with only 8 km into the stage this will be a perfect opportunity for the Breakaway to form potentially however not long after the Riders will have the intermediate Sprint to tackle with only 31.1 km into the stage so perhaps this would mean that there won’t be any breakaways early on Let Go by the Pelon so the sprinters can go and contest for the maximum intermediate points the Riders will then continue North in the country towards Dijon with not much other obstacles in terms of elevation or prizes up for grabs this would mean that the Breakaway will potentially be doomed and will be reeled in by the Breakaway by the tractors of the pelaton in terms of Tim the C has to off Jansen or silan diler but the final 4 km of the stage does offer some challenges for the lead out trains almost immediately they will have a left hand turn before 3 km to go they will be on the bolevard de Chicago before heading to the Avenue day President John Kennedy continuing that American theme in the city and then in the final 2 kilm there will be a few obstacles in the way of the road but the big challenge for the the Pelon will come inside the last kilometer where there is a roundabout Ed michell and that could be quite decisive roundabout in terms of this Sprint the lead out trains will certainly need to be on their toes for this one once more and this could certainly be a tricky finale for them stage six is poised to rewrite history in Dijon with a flat profile and a perfectly suited finale this stage promises that electrifying finish the fast men will be eager to Edge their names in the Toral fr F CLW by claiming a victory as many of the sprinters still haven’t tasted success in this year’s tour France and we will see who will take the maximum points in terms of that green jersey as well while the route itself might not boast any major heals the rolling heels of burgundy will undoubtedly provide a Scenic backdrop for the stage and Spectators will expect to witness the peleton snake Through The Vineyards and Charming Villages adding a touch of French Countryside charm to this fastpaced day of r racing in terms of predictions judging by the Sprint on stage three like we said in yesterday’s video and yasper philipson could certainly be the strong man here a Le Tre will definitely want to try and get that stage with MES pill and and as we know Binum gumai would love to add more stages to his tally as well but we could even have an underdog of Phil bow house take a win here it is a bit of a chaotic Sprint courtesy of that roundabout finish and equally why not have a win for Brian Kar or some of the Lesser sprinters but there’s a lot that can happen this field of sprinters is certainly one of the most competitive I can recall as of late but Dyan hoan and Fab yson as well are two men that we shouldn’t discount but anyways with that that’s basically it for this stage six preview make sure to hit the like button subscribe to the channel here on the cycling Dane extra and if you haven’t already why not check out our recap race analysis here on the channel and we’ll see what happens in this stage tomorrow but anyways with that thank you for watching and I will see you in the next one [Music]

    1. Cavendish has riden dangerously now for a few seasons and caused several crashes
Hopefully now Mr Ego has got his record he'll retire and make the sprint stages a little safer

    2. Ahhh W ⚓ Astana were well positioned for much of the run-in, but Cavencrap made no impact in the sprint, placing 20th.
Cavendish was not so understanding (usual Petulant childish antics) during the stage when he suffered a mechanical problem, was hampered by a television motorbike and then briefly drafted behind his team car to return to the peloton. He was fined 200 Swiss francs, docked 15 UCI ranking points, 10 points for the green jersey competition and 40 seconds in the general classification
