f he he he [Music] [Music] sorry good evening um okay uh Happy Tuesday yes it is Tuesday already Lisa I don’t know you know how that happened let me just sort out my delay monster so hopefully I can override that fantastic how is everybody Hey You Beautiful People how are you doing this fabulous Tuesday the weather’s cooled down a bit in the UK which is kind of nice uh my air conditioning unit which I first used last week I need to confess something strange about that it’s my first one right uh and obviously ly if you’ve ever owned uh such a device as a portable air conditioning unit uh it has an exhaust uh hose so I had tried to get this exhaust hose out into through a window and it wasn’t long enough so I Jerry rigged something using a uh bit of extra larger sort of width uh pipe that I had kicking around uh and gaffet taped it so whilst uh I did have a a g Sonic on the table for last week’s uh sort of live stream um what I think you observed was me being um I I don’t know under the influence of uh exhaust fumes from an air conditioning unit because the pipe had broken and it was exhausting more or less directly at me so all that kind of blather I do apologize was me being uh slowly poisoned by my own uh worst eneme which is now the delongi penguin um anyway let’s have a quick look at the live stream hi guys hi Andy hi Lee hi Richard hi Lisa uh hi tracker Jack how you doing uh good to see you guys here um I’ve still got delay and uh I did try and I almost got there and it’s uh it’s frustrating so um is it I mean I watched last week’s stream just sort of put some uh link points is it As I Got High I did get high it was so weird it was so weird cuz like like this is not I just no um is my voice as distorted as it was last week because it was like um which is quite unbearable but hopefully it’s clearer and cleaner it looks quite loud on my mixer I’ve got my mouse on the table just so I can keep an eye on that rather than like scooting over um what do we think so uh sound and vision in focus in Focus uh it’s it’s legal it’s liquid silk oh that’s beautiful smooth good thank you oh who who who’s this this is take my glasses off for closeup work uh just post L just post hello welcome welcome aboard to the Jervis ramble Thon so uh Lisa I can’t promise you the same level of rambling as I had last week because I’m a bit more Compass mous but I can promise you some broken knobs from my uh beautifully vintage let’s cut to that now uh oh wrong way my beautifully vintage uh microwave XT which has sat on the Shelf unplugged for for quite some time um so I figured it was time because of the nature oh hello I’ve left my pipe there Talk Amongst yourselves um yeah it’s um having these on the table last oh hello hang on hang on what was that I I need to just do something is [Music] it is [Music] it do it there that’s it okay cool that’s my gavl the hammer sorry I did say I wasn’t going to I wasn’t going to blather I’ve just blathered I think I it’s because I hit the um the circuit track now having having had these on the the desk last week for a little um kind of a bit of a more of an in-depth look and being exhausted um with the uh conon fumes uh I felt it was um jbt nice to see you brother um okay JT’s in here tonight as is Bud and I think Brendan I think you’re safe somehow I don’t know why I’ve got no recordings of you but I will find one I promise you and you’ll be in there um so I figured it was good to uh just get these book back on the oh I say back on the table I’ve had a horrendous uh week of like one day off and I’m a bit exhausted and I was exhausted last Tuesday as well as the fumes so I figured I just leave leave them on the table cuz I didn’t think I’d really explored the tune so I got I had another little uh attack on um Sunday and I refined the little drama base kind of vibe so that’s that’s what we’re going to do today we’re going to sort of revisit that tune with the samples we’ll talk through a little bit first um and and we’ll get something out of it and I just figured that it was great idea and we talk we’ve talked about you know the kit I’ve got in here uh and stuff that you know people not you know a few people have got these things not many people have got you know um the knat so these kind of these wonderful toys that I’ve got you know it’s it’s a shame not to share them I’m about sharing and caring so I thought i’ i’ I’d put this on the table and I obviously the beauty of the circuits is that they all play well together so little talk through of how I’ve done this because I’m only taking a stereo output into the live streamer so the microwave go into the circuit Rhythm I wish I had some more um my volts cables slightly longer uh Hi and then that goes out into the circuit tracks which then goes out via my volts cables candy cords um look at them look at they just look so bloody good don’t they and they’re the right length but i’ think I’d need longer ones for this kind of operation and then the candy cord goes here into the live stream which is this is I just need this needs to definitely needs to be longer maybe a yellow one um so how do I like the wave States tracker Jack um I haven’t it’s shocking isn’t it I have never I don’t in the time that I’ve reviewed stuff for tement I have had very little access to the cor stuff and during um got any of the sort of uh trade shows and Expos I’ve been I’ve been to I I I’ve spent time talking to the people working there not actually playing with the syns um maybe I’ll maybe I’ll do that different next time but um I like the idea of it I’ve got a wave station Sr back there which again needs to go in my table of rack Joy which uh we talked about that last week like making a table so I can actually rack mount Lee uh JV 1080 you know that would be perfect wouldn’t it so um but I like the idea of it I really like the idea of oh actually that was a question for me that was a question for um there we go proper gaffer tape I am using proper Gaff tape I’m Ro for God’s sake I don’t buy cheap stuff or was it no it was proper um oh does that mean tracker Jack you’re Tom I can use your name now great okay I think I’ve caught up on the chat so anyway so uh get a j JD 990 everybody’s getting a JD 990 that seems to be the kind of like they’re going up in value again um I don’t know what that’s about but yeah definitely um yeah definitely a thing that that’s that’s that’s coming back isn’t it those JD the JV JD sounds um I watched a video on o 01w getting a bit of you know bit of love and I’m thinking like no one w i remember being a bit underwhelmed by that but you know we are talking about um 30 years 40 years no hang on 92 yeah so 30 years right I don’t know was it 92 91 I remember the 01 W being advertised on the back of sound on sound by Genesis is that right or was that c no sorry that is C anyway yeah I the blathering has begun so I thought I’d get this stuff back on the table we’d work through the jam uh and we’d have a little chat afterwards as per as per the usug um but yeah I think I think there is a lot of value in a lot of those um rack old rack syns from the sort of early 90s because you think of all that kind of cool music and I mean again you know everyone’s obsessed with analog stuff I look at the state of that for starters um and that’s great but when you look at the music that was made the sort of gold golden age of electronic dance music I mean people were sampling people had maybe one or two or or sample packs of I say sample pack sample CDs of um of analog sense uh so it’s all about samples samples sample is grabbing sounds and this is again what I love about these because it puts me back in time to that but putting it alongside something real I mean this is digital 100% digital not even the filter is analog the original wave um microwave did have an analog uh filter but this is not it’s digital and it’s good it doesn’t behave you know um it does squeal can I right so I’m triggering [Music] it oh let’s talk sorry little segue tonight’s beverage is is licorice and peppermint and they’re kind of silky talking about silky it’s got silky bags um isn’t that a tribute band silky bags silky bags isn’t elky Brooks tribute band artist elky Brook silky anyway and this is a this is a I do love um sort of the licorice kind of teas um in America uh big fan of Throat Coat which is predominantly um licorice licorice J it’s James glue to the cune hello sir welcome aboard uh Jason mags good evening are your are your comments going to be retracted by uh and deleted by the tuber of view I hope not um there we go so shall we uh what what’s everyone else drinking licorice no Lisa are you drinking licorice oh that is that is something it’s good right so the idea was anyway is to keep these on the table because it’s I’m I’m enjoying using them I’m enjoying using them together and expanding them um next week we’ll so next fortnite cranberry and sparkling water M nice I like that so with us all beverag up with the scents in place I think it might be sort of Time how how long have we been chatting 10 minutes 15 minutes where’s the says 20 minutes on air but that’s I would go on air a bit earlier 14 minutes H that’s quite nice that is quite nice app app hang on my German so just apple juice basically yeah nice drinking corporate pop do you mean Council pop what’s corporate pop C when we were kids uh you can’t drink Jam Lisa it’s not done uh we were always uh cider Lisa yeah of course um another another York sh te okay H mags is keeping it clean so you drinking just uh just water Council pop tasos yeah corporate corporate pop yeah okay okay um I might have some corporate pop here somewhere Council pop though obviously water um so you know oh I’m thirsty what can I have to drink have some Council pop right so um let’s let’s start this jamming in gym jams um it’s it’s still too hot to wear oh actually is getting warmer in here where’s the remote control for the airon I don’t think it’s going to be as bad as last week okay I am going to so H2 yeah Andy so you are drinking actually um Council pump right then so um here’s one I prepared so this is something I’ve been and again talking back to you know last week’s kind of um look at these as as a and grief boxes in general and and what they bring to us is that this is something that I started a good few weeks weeks ago just fiddling around and I’ve I’ve honed it and played with it and you know got it a little bit tighter and change things and it improved it because it’s like well this is an idea and it’s an ideas pad and the beauty of being able to link these together means that I can actually Take It Outside into into um into external land uh I think if could I do a gig with this I mean I’d like something that I could manipulate perhaps independently that would be the thing so would I use the um the syndrome drum synth if you will that would be quite something that just makes noises swishes and swirls I mean honestly if money were no option option option money is always an option if Money Was No Object I definitely have uh a vcs3 just there sort of I’d have to sort of face it to towards you so it would just be a weird TW tweak of the the joystick or um or a Cynthia you know that’s that’s that’s my desert island synth I think definitely right then so we’ve got drinks we’ve had Verona performer yeah did I I almost made a video with something Veron and I did I did one of those uh those Daft videos of trying to recreate sounds for Toman which never really worked but we fun to make right uh and I I I did think at some point to um to to bring that’s why it’s on the table I I run out of time to to to Plum it in but I was going to put the um microwave through the raindrops into the circuit Rhythm then into the circuit tracks it’s it just I just run out of time that’s what it is but that would be a a beautiful addition and look I’ve got that’s not long enough as yeah anyway uh and I just want to point out my daughter’s donut she made that for me it’s I think it might have been one of my Christmas present she made me a whole bunch of really cool gifts um lovingly at the um at the at the family crafting bench uh if you’ve seen my uh modular DIY why DIY not video um that’s one of the things that she made there so this this probably needs to go somewhere visible because um I think if she watches this which she may be she may be watching it she watched last week with her friend uh poppy is Poppy in the chat tonight no well hi Poppy if you are watching it without which would be strange for a but who knows who knows right so hey Peter how you doing crax is a very oh yeah I know it wouldn’t fit on the task I do need to get a bigger table I do need to get a bigger table Fabian brother good you keep me on in the background don’t you go too far cuz it’s going to start now oh just sounds so sweet doesn’t it that’s the beauty of this thing right okay I think I’m going to start so check out the uh the fancy it might not work but I thought figured I’ve got it use it right we’re switching the mic off keep drinking keep chatting I’ll catch up with you in a minute let’s just turn that off um [Music] [Music] he [Music] you’re [Music] you’re not you’re [Music] not what is [Music] [Music] [Music] w he [Music] [Music] right [Music] right [Music] [Music] [Music] right right [Music] what [Music] [Applause] keep keep [Music] what is what what is [Music] [Music] you’re [Music] you’re Rec Rec must be record [Music] he want [Music] record he want me record [Music] a [Music] he [Music] [Music] going [Music] and [Music] how [Music] Dan [Music] [Applause] [Music] that [Music] [Music] me record [Music] [Music] [Music] w oh [Music] was that it’s scw control [Music] [Music] [Music] what I’m not sure what happened there did you see the circuit tracks just went off um I don’t even know what that is that’s going to be this right okay cool I was so in the zone then and I was going to build it up um but there we go was a little 20 minute was that 20 minute kind of thing yeah I think it was um so let’s just have a mouthful there we go um a lot of fun there let’s just uh a moment I could have gone on anyway that’s the beauty of these things is um if you use them plugged in with USB I say beauty I don’t mean Beauty that’s the pain of these Bubblicious thank you very much Peter um is that um unfortunately I I had it charging but I’m not sure why it turned off and then on again because it did it reset itself didn’t it thank thank you uh Tom that is you I’ve got you now um so that was annoying because I was like in the zone he carried on playing for a little while which is quite nice then it rebooted um interesting I don’t know why it did that um fate intervened yeah maybe it was a long enough maybe that was the point Lisa maybe that was it like I was kind of I almost dropped down before that anyway um yeah I think that was about about right isn’t it yeah uh Shang for you don’t like run random reboot feature is is that something I should be aware of because I wasn’t before today um ah hello sir Steve how you doing good to see you welcome aboard um yeah so I didn’t I didn’t um I didn’t enjoy that the moment but it looked like the wall D was receiving midi information which it wasn’t supposed to do so I don’t know what that was about maybe I actually oh no that’s because i’ asked it to uh here let me just uh put the top down on let’s go back to there so I had actually asked it to to do that so that’s just me building the track up so you know um I did deliberately leave the circuit tracks kind of Fairly naked um so I could use it to trigger the microwave XT and um and not worry about you know uh too much about the the Rhythm and I think that’s that kind of [Music] track actually that’s this yeah so I left it with you know just I it and then you got what’s why is that not oh yeah uh now now to me that sounds like a metal very heavy metal kind of uh style of of drum and I just it it appealed to me because it didn’t feel very drum and bass and I thought you know what if I had that clicky bass drum and that sort of shallow Snappy snare along with the deeper kind of traditional drum and bass um let’s just see if that works so you can hear what I’m saying right uh [Music] pants together you got dirty brisol sound kind of like [Music] grungy give it it just kicks through I mean maybe you I can’t really mix them together very much but um yeah yeah just adds a bit of front end bites [Music] okay stop um yeah couple of things I did to the to the pattern um prior to that obviously uh on this end the more percussive sounds but we’ll work our way back so I thought that would be a kind of cool thing to do and then obviously to be able to play the syn and you know trigger samples um hippopo diverse welcome um crusty yeah as in DJ crust right did do some sessions for crust back in the day anyway so you know I I’ve I’ve I can’t live in Bristol and not do drum bass you can’t be in in this city without sort of you know having that kind of vibe inbe you and you know juvenate not rejuvenate to juvenate you so um oh it looks like it is it is battery isn’t it it’s it’s I can see it’s it’s just it’s dull mind you that is as well really I had them I had them charging for ages maybe not enough was it half an hour enough is it it’s not like you kind of get used to to mobile phone technology mobile technology where things charge quicker and for longer and stay stay you know charged for longer but I guess these are they are what they are anyway um so uh what else did I get on there so now this is a this is a bank of sounds that I again going back to sampling things and having a having a really good recorder that’s you L he there you go um in your at your disposal means that you can actually go around recording uh sounds I’ve got a Spire an isotope Spire which I actually just remembered I took everywhere with me and recorded loads of really random stuff which is still on there that’s there was yeah some really cool streets in Germany and Bamberg which is the closest sort of city to where toan is based um and I left outside of my hotel window one night and just recorded the ambience I took it around for a walk with me recorded there’s a river with a beautiful actually it features in the more modern more recent uh Three Musketeers the the the Remake that they did in is it 2017 I want to say maybe 2015 which recorder app do I use oh God I I think it’s just like um oh I don’t even know it’s just called record hang on what’s it called uh voice recorder light and it’s I’m not going to open it now because that could be disastrous um not the you know I don’t know what’s on there I mean in disastrous I mean that it could be me singing and playing guitar which you know might not be of interest uh to a synth kind of stream but yeah I I mean I’ve got an iPhone prior to that I had a Samsung prior to that I had a Google phone so um I try and always have a phone that’s got a good camera and a good uh microphone uh and those three those three phones do all are renowned for that so um if you’re Android you know I personally would go Google or something more clean I didn’t really enjoy the Samsung kind of things so even though I’ve got did I record some stuff with the Samsung I the iPhone for video is just is better than anything else just fact um and I’ve filmed quite a lot with uh with the iPhone actually the all of the content I’ve done from from Super Booth last year the video made for um synth East no not synth yeah synth East um machine Ronica and uh synthfest all done on the iPhone you name yeah we have come a long way caller ID yeah I I got excited with MSN Messenger you know the video where you couldn’t hear it wouldn’t it couldn’t take uh audio but you could type and you could see a video that was just so weird um full cycle yeah dope Dragon represent yeah absolutely well I I’m actually on one of the one of Ronnie’s albums um return to V give me a reason I did a guitar session it doesn’t really sound like a guitar because uh it’s be mixed kind of it’s an acoustic guitar um that was a good session that was good fun I sold him my Triton I mean can you imagine me with a Triton it just doesn’t feel right right I ended up with one somehow so I sold it to him and you know but I he was a customer for Years anyway and um someone I you know uh had a good good rapport with so good fun right Good Times uh and as a result ended up sort of just being in in and around a little while um but yeah there we go and that it’s good stuff each one of them has something to off I love crust um he got a more dirty darker sort of vibe Ronnie stuff’s brilliant obviously um represent as a as a collective brilliant brilliant stuff DJ D dying clips10 for a two dog um and actually uh worked with with um yeah I don’t know what I was going to say then I’ve lost I’ve lost I’ve lost the plot anyway look let’s crack on so um yeah I’ve got I’ve got lots of different um I turn that up drowns out the echo um lots of different samples collected and it’s an obsession so having a phone going out and and and hearing things and just being I guess just just being switched on enough to know actually I’ve got the ability to to do things with these sounds um like I think we did um let’s just go for this is from tour work I went into I I talked about this last week um and this is uh a casino I’ve definitely got an audio I don’t think this is it I think this is just me by the slot machines with Brandon winning money um in 2018 but I’ve got stuff that I’ve done which I’ve walked around the casino um doing that kind of stuff so I I do collect sound and I’ve I’ve been doing it a very long time um and in 2016 God blind me when I did the Sonic State live gig that was Bloody weird not having recorded electronic music for a long time I was I was in a folk band prior to that I know right folk who who have foled it um and uh excuse me I think the um the peppermints it’s cute doing that thing it’s right so um yeah so uh yeah what was I saying um I’m doing a Robbin now I’ve lost my TR train of thought um but uh yeah collecting signs and it’s something I’ve done since the ’90s because I had I’ve always had a sampler and I’ve always used Samplers and I think I’ve always enjoyed the concept of taking a sound um let’s where’s oh hang on what am I doing what what am I actually doing that’s not it let’s expand that a minute um let good I don’t want to wreck this so maybe I should go for something that’s not really um being [Music] there go right okay so sorry guys is that a yeah okay cool let’s get this going somewhere else right uh so if I go back to this one oh hello it’s I don’t know how long he wants he wants me to record stuff for him so I like the idea of taking he wants me to record stuff for him he wants me to record stuff for him he want record stuff for him he wants me to record he wants me to record me to record so you know um [Laughter] Paul Harner loves Morris dancing I’m a big fan of British kind of cultural stuff so the folk stuff for me is is embedded with that sort of paganism anyway uh out here the old gods Reign um so yeah taking a sound and something else and also taking the natural rhythm of something and I did that in this track with um with the with the with the the bell of the uh the slot machine which you can’t hear because it’s I know what I know what it’s not that one either there was one H SP ages just the temp tune did I oh he does Morris dancing oh that’s a different thing um it’s based most of this stuff is kind of um 19th century actually which is unfortunate but it is based on kind of uh a more sort of pagan rots the Green Man uh obviously was a you know it was the god of the of the earth that came forth and brought green stuff this time of year so you know music is electronic music is folk yeah yeah I think it is um I think it is I think it’s it’s definitely the repetitive beat this there’s a lot of stuff I think that um that that does that that reaches that stuff 432 khz I’m going to do some stuff with that um I was reading about that as well obviously um there’s a couple of conspiracy theories with the nais in 440 but there’s also the some American um kind of University that decided 440 was the right frequency for a to be to then tune everything up but prior to that it was 432 now actually I find it easy to sing when my guitars tuned to 432 wherever I’m singing it just feels a bit more relaxed and I don’t know why that is it’s ridiculous isn’t it because we’re talking we’re just talking frequency right and I think there is something kind of nice and chill about making electronic music that’s got that a little bit and I think the this I don’t know it’s a conspiracy theory or is actually true that the the is it gobl said that 440 was was the was the one and it was to Hype The Listener and again it was all about propaganda right so moish truth yes indeed maybe okay uh yeah so have I missed anything else in the Matthew Herbert hirees stuff to make field recordings for his tracks oh that’s interesting yeah I’ve got I mean one of the earliest recordings I’ve got is a walk that Gaz and I did in North Wales not far from where he grew up um and of course I’m not far from there where I grew up and um we parked his car so it must have been 8889 maybe 89 and maybe 90 1990 and we went for this walk um and we listen to music and and just just totted around there’s not really much useful but that’s again circling back to the comment about 2016’s uh part of my realtoreal um Montage because it is a montage of different sounds from all over the place um there’s bits of gazin and I in that I thought it was really appropriate for that point because he was I think he was he kind of keen for me to play again I haven’t played for ages um you know it’s like most of us life sometimes just gets in the way and and that’s cool but you know we do this for a reason and it’s good for us to do this so um when we’re not doing it it’s not good for us I mean we talk about mental health all the time right and it’s all bit it’s a bit beyond the pale in some respects but actually a little bit what you fancy always does you good now that come on we’ve grown we’ve grown up with that that’s that’s those those things are important um and you don’t have to buy an app you don’t have to join a gym you don’t have to you just need to go for a bloody walk that doesn’t cost anything why should mental health cost something think about that one and anyway let’s carry him back in in to see what’s going on yeah okay I think I’m caught up there uh unless I’ve missed missed stuff this way around 15th century oh morish is thing not feeling Andy oh I see moish as in the Moors the north Africans that came and uh into Spain brought that stuff Celtic stuff’s interesting but there’s not a lot of um you know the sort of The Druids of that kind of business um yeah anyway so um where are we we’re 5 to n already how’s that happened we’ve had some music we’ve so again uh recording samples from deliberately going around um and and taking samples of people and of environments and I’ve got some really interesting stuff from from tour I remember being in this venue and I think think it was Chicago no it was Philadelphia uh there’s these two guys cleaning up and they are having this R and it is just it is beautiful it’s poetry I haven’t done anything with that but at some point I might I might slip that in um to one of the things because again you know um going back to digital Samplers and analog and all that kind of stuff a bit of everything you know you you shouldn’t have to just just make with one one thing I think music is music however you make it whether it’s with you know 400b box and again for me having these boxes means that I actually make music I can sit the computer and I can compose and I can do that quite quickly and I’ve had lots of experience for you know all my adult life of making music with a computer that’s that’s because you know Atari PC Mac PC but you know there is something nice about using today’s technology uh and again there’s no screen with this so actually sometimes you do have to get the manual out you think well how do I do that I still can’t remember and I learned how to do it a while ago how to chain patterns and I think you got also micro steps which I did remember the other day but I think if you is it patterns uh I think it’s this side it’s something to do with these no expands velocities I think it might even just be this stuff oh hello I don’t know I’m you know I’m getting getting distracted by my own business um Morris daning was like a CO capaa sorry so Morris dancing Capa amazing I would love to see that um Catholic like Catholics practiced I think they might have been making fun of me I think they might have been too hippopo I’m sorry and I don’t know how I mean again you think about the Pagan um sort of symbols in churches the Green Man on on Church doors a lot of the sort of gargoyles and stuff very Pagan and a lot of certainly a lot of the churches and even the smaller churches in the UK have a lot of pagan um symb around because I even what we talking about we’re talking about 12th century aren’t we so 12 13th century that’s still I know I know the Romans brought it in like for last days of their kind of rule over here so what would that be 300 ad 400 ad uh and then of course Ireland was never really anything other than so that their their Catholic Heritage goes back that far right but I think we had the northern Europeans oh my God it’s got history coming in you know and we’ve got you know German tribes Dutch tribes well parts of what would be Germany and and and and uh and the Netherlands now and of course Denmark and Norway you know through Scotland and parts of Ireland and parts of Wales but but generally you know the Kelts were pushed out by those into the extremes so Scotland and and Wales and then of course the nor the Norse you know got into involved with the Scottish and the Irish didn’t come into Wales much unless you talk about South Wales and fish guard but they came through Ireland that way um yeah so I think that’s a it’s a kind of interesting kind of history but how that relates to electronic music or any kind of things I think we’ve gone into hello welcome to history hit with Jason Jervis um there we go I am history hot um I don’t know where I put the remote control for the airon but we’re com oh let’s test modern technology and how it [Music] works it doesn’t it’s not doing anything I think it might be that’s just that’s it right so currently looking at dream right let’s get back into the electronic chat who’s addicted to drone Tom’s addicted to drone oh Andy’s addicted to drone yeah but your stuff is cool you you do some nice um videos I’m sorry I wasn’t able to join your stream this Saturday I was working from 8:30 till 4:30 it was a long day and then Sunday I had to come back and do my chores as well as sort of figure out what we’re going to do today cuz I was i’ had another late night late night yesterday but um Lisa what you’re saying I I don’t need any um Dream Machines my dis dist oh I think the next jamming in jym jams has to be another modular one and we because the one of the ideas of this particular sort of feature is that I do this with you guys but I get my modular out and I I practice this um and and play with stuff uh so yeah they do Andy the streams do go where they want to go um so I think I’ll do that but I think in the meantime I might try and get hold of a couple of new modules somehow um m is to Dimension so I might go B borrow and steal I think we did talk about this a couple of weeks ago going into gaz’s house don’t tell him they right and I’ll just I’ll just liberate a couple of things he won’t notice um anyway we have almost done an hour it’s um it says here 59 minutes 14 seconds 15 seconds uh oh Richard sending me one yay thank you that’s brilliant and I also remembered that whil I rebuilt the thing um hey um the color didn’t go back in which is Criminal El ronics uh I want I hope that’s doing well I’ll put a link um again in this so if you if you want to back this this is a really good thing to do um yeah where yeah little I I might I don’t know if it I don’t know if it would be it would work if I connected this to the inbuilt strips LED strips I got here I mean I think power is the thing um but I I do like honestly I I love having this kind of um little square I think it’s fun so actually maybe just trying to get that sort of taped to the front of the uh I say tape you know um attached to the front of the case modular case anyway so yeah um the Utopia didn’t go back on am I selling that it’s a mixer with lots of other cool stuff but I don’t use as a mixer so it’s got an LFO on there I don’t know I I It’s Tricky isn’t it I’ve got all the space in there so I can put every sing every single module that I own but I’m trying to be good I’m trying to um I’m trying to sort of focus on my workflow within that case and I think those kind of aspects of um you know uh of generative sequences um is missing from you know and any kind of sequencer actually to be fair um so we’ll see what happens on that one can I point out before we go how absolutely surprised I am that I haven’t that’s not even that’s not even broken is it that’s just me taking that off if I put this on and push it down with it no um this is what happens to the to the knobs they just crumble and fall yeah that’s that’s definitely up there Tom is a touring machine I I definitely want to do that um I just got to sort of just clear a few modules get rid of a few cents um and you know then I can start sort of putting the money back in um but yeah none of none of did you see that I was just saying I’m surprised that it didn’t break live is that is that the way it goes breaking oh is it this way um is it does thunk do like a knob kit for this I know um wolf do and it if you can see this it needs a clean but it’s a really white kind of powdery finish that you know I don’t really know it’s got some scratches on it and I don’t know why this is scratch but there is a a thing you can do um mono station 6 PlayStation 2 yeah I I’ve actually I’ve got my um the knobs on my artura beatstep Pro I’ve got that sticky kind of nature thing going on you it’s like oh come on I don’t know why they do that some sort of anyway who knows so suspect micro might get this yeah hang on no well I’ve got a micro freak uh and this is the knob from and it is just a so let’s how how far can we zoom in my headphones cable oh all right oh let’s just do this okay oh that’s good right is that too close let’s just go back to that one so that’s the knob I don’t know if you can see it’s just really tacky um that’s a different that’s a different material that’s a micr freak um that’s all that um but [Laughter] yeah that’s how sticky it is but I keep going over my headphone cable I don’t know right let’s zoom out again but I do think you know the sound of these instruments all the the functionality you know surpasses the sort of oh God that’s really horrible um ah okay yeah okay sticky knob I’m not calling the I’m not calling the stream that little boxes sticky knob episode four um so um yeah yeah I think it’s fur nice I mean you know [Laughter] um depends on the gig I suppose uh Lisa if you’re lifting your hands up and um you know but I think yeah I think plast hard plastic I mean the older sort of ones I’ve got my um oh oh oh oh Break Stuff you know um my Dr Rhythm I mean those are original knobs that’s the replacement knobs um but yeah you know that’s not going to That’s a classic piece but it’s a shame it just doesn’t output to anything sounds great but you know Sisters of Mercy guys right okay I think that might concludes tonight’s stream oh Anna I’m not doing that because you just wrot no no worries got car with Jam that’s good that’s what that’s that’s fantastic I’m really happy to hear that you’ve been jamming it’s brilliant nauy Anna yeah okay well for for your benefit we’ll have we’ll have a f minute conversation what have you been doing today apart from jamming and what oh actually more to the point what pieces of Kit were you jamming with not rubbery yeah Jam jam toer oh oh that’ be nice peter I think it’d be really good Anna you’ve not got Co oh my dad had Co a couple of weeks ago and he hasn’t had it yet so um he’s been really he said he couldn’t remember a whole week I did speak J that week as well so that’s pretty a good thing um I’m sorry to hear that um so playing music is probably the best thing to do when you got covid actually uh guitar and ebo yeah have you got have you got a joyo ebo or have you got the authentic ebo plus which is that I’ve got HS for years though with the blue do love it I’ve got some techniques uh with this which I won’t share secrets maybe one week maybe maybe I tell you what maybe yeah I think to be honest it vibrates the string right it’s magnets why my p8 quid um or whatever they are now what are the actual ebo prices I don’t know um you still had to work with covid good grief um that’s that’s shocking anyway so I think I might bring the uh guitar into the modular I think Richard’s there so I’ve got your axis modular two inputs but obviously it takes an input an output so I’ve actually got an easy way of getting this you know um into the um into the modulus so that might be a good thing to do and I’ve got 70ish yeah okay so yeah so the joyer one’s cheaper though right 35 surely half price 50 even is even better um oh okay so it’s about the same you’s stealing your gig so I’m i’ let me talk about this come on Andy how long you been playing a jok there’s no there’s no there’s no one stealing anything we’re all enjoying playing music and that’s a good thing um um but yeah I think I’m talking about I guess I don’t know Andy do you feed your guitar into modular because that’s the sort of thing I’m I’ve always been interested even with my standard pedal board in making uh I had a producer friend back years ago who was always completely confused as to why I would try to make my guitar sound not like a guitar when he would be using sample CDs and getting people to play guitar for him because he wanted the guitar and I’m like well I play guitar but I want it to sound out Outer worldly or different or just completely odd and unnatural um but yeah so yeah so okay guitarists can’t help it um and I’ve also got uh a for track which I think you know there’s a couple of things I’ve I’ve got I would like to do with with with you levely people um and I think playing my guitar through the modular is something I’ve definitely I’m actually y of um couple of years ago actually in 2021 he was doing a modular input module I think Dan DPW has also done one as well to to take the high impedance of a guitar pickup into modular uh it’s a bit more a bit more going on but I’m sure we can get away with just literally plugging it in um um yeah okay Anna nice yeah yeah I like that yeah Dan’s Lovely isn’t he I’ve interviewed him a few times but um yeah so I think that’s that’s kind of you know that’s kind of my kind of take on things is trying to make make interesting sounds like all of us right and whatever is in our wheelhouse you know as a guitar player first um so yeah so for track episode would be quite fun because I’ve got some stuff with me and G playing guitars from 1991 92 um as well as other other bits and Bobs so there’s lots of there’s lots of things we can we can lots of avenues interesting Avenues we can go down um but yeah I think I’m going to call it a night there because I can’t turn my airon on now and it does feel quite warm in here um I thought I could just get away with putting get on for half an hour these have lasted that’s samples um yeah can I not turn off the all right we go oh cans that is a hotel in Munich um when I did some Dreadful joke uh trailers for toan where we went into the studio there’s loads of really cool um sentence and stuff actually an ob8 in there um and we told jokes for like trailers I mean it was terrible because they were cheesy jokes they dad jokes you know that’s what I mean it was fun fun totally to do sorry hang on a minute who’s who’s six hour live stream who’s who’s doing a live stream for six hours Andy are you doing a live stream for six hours oh my God six hours without a bathroom break I’d probably get one of my kids to come in and pretend they were me that would be quite fun um Slow Down dance music yeah you do need to keep hydrated and that’s why with these events you know I have something on hand and that is gone now that’s 300 milliliters of peppermint and licorice tea very nice it’s very it is a bit sleepy though but I mean we are in our jamas right that’s that’s how we do this so ad dragalin but I like that idea you know can nip in and out of as well right right yeah guitars in techno work really well um as well we all music the distance got a pitch tracker is it okay nice okay right what you mean that Tino thanks Lisa come on come on it’s okay it’s fine delicious right um well maybe I’ll play out for five minutes to try and finish off the jam as it was um before it turned off should we do that thank you again for your company tonight um don’t forget to like this video tell your friends to like this video um also so if you haven’t seen my features that I’ve been doing for the last 5 years on and off more off than on on this channel go and have a little um let’s keep Jason talking Andy don’t you dare you know how easy it is um yeah go go and have a watch go and give a go and share some love with the the features um there’s a I say it’s great I’m bigging up myself but I really enjoyed how about this I really enjoyed doing a tu Bells with the souls be at Megatron which is actually in the playlist that this video is in me playing with syn um that was really fun um and I did actually yeah I enjoyed making it and filming it it was a bit of an ambitious it was an earlier one for me and it was ambitious because I didn’t really I just wanted to make a big video um and I still I still do want to do that um but yeah anyway thank you very much for joining again same time next week I’ll play out for five minutes and yeah keep the love of synths going and keep being well Anna get over the covid sorry I had to work uh and I’ll see you in the next chats uh of whatever stream so I’m
